I’m a bit surprised to see the negative reviews, since mine is the complete opposite. I was hopeless prior to finding Cognito, and it was just luck that I stumbled upon it. I’m so happy that I did! The doctors, nurses, psych, coach, and admin I have met thus far have been extremely kind and helpful. They’re down to earth, and easy to talk to. Which is saying a lot, coming from me. They’re fast at replies, and just fast in general. With anything, there are kinks to work out. I do find the booking, and finding out who to speak to difficult. I think an app would be great. I have also ran into many problems with the pharmacy and my meds, though, I think this was more of a pharmacy issue than anything. I wasn’t aware that meds could be sent to me until yesterday, so I’m hoping that this will help.. Really, other than that, I’m generally happy with Cognito. I’m not sure where I’d be without their help, and that in itself is pretty incredible.

To start, I really like the vision in a program like this. This is fairly accessible care and it's easy enough to try out. I can see that it has real potential and could work for people. I really enjoy how easy it is to book meetings with the team, it was very smooth. The first person I met for the initial assessment was an absolute angel and left me feeling really hopeful. The following care coach was really nice and eager. Unfortunately, that was the extent of my positive experience. I may have set myself up, my physical health is very entangled with my mental health, so in truth maybe this just was not the program for me. The doctor consult was dismissive and irritating, and the care coaching session was kind enough but painfully impersonal and decontextualized even after discussing history. In both, I was not heard out despite being vocal. In all fairness, I am very tired of being tossed through the medical wringer, so that works against my patience. I feel like this program would work well for people who's main focus is baseless anxiety or depression, and are very new to mental health work. If there are any nuances to your situation, I think it gets lost in the weeds. If you already have experience, it feels like it throws off their script or something. I recognize that burnout is common, especially during these times - but if you're working with patients on such a sensitive subject, you need to be compassionate and engaged. I suppose I am talking about an MD, but - don't be in a mental health program if you aren't prepared to be supportive and listen to your patients. One's mental health is very personal to them, so I don't think a 'one size fits all' approach will be very effective moving forwards. I look forwards to Cognito's growth as a program, it has visible potential. I don't want anyone to be dissuaded from seeking help just because it didn't work for me, this is very accessible and absolutely worth a shot. If you're thinking of trying Cognito, go for it.

My experience with Cognito has been great so far. I am surprised about the negative comments. From the first assessment to the care coach appointments, I have no complaints. All appointments were on time and easy to access information. Pricing makes it accessible and I am happy to continue working with my care coach.

The team at Cognito has been supportive and caring from day 1, and regular appointments with my care coach continue to bring clarity and hold me accountable as I figure out moving forward. Managing anxiety and depression can be a roller-coaster, and it looks different for everyone. I feel my care coach Vanessa meets me where I am at, offering empathy, different perspectives, and a place to be heard. My overall experience has been very positive, and I'm glad that I signed up, taking the first step to boost my mental health!

When I first heard of Cognito, I was relieved. Finally something I could hopefully muster up the courage to try, since I was able to stay in the comfort of my own home. There was no forcing myself to leave, or excuses of why I couldn't go. I thought that it was my time to combat my fears of getting help, and this could really make a difference in my life. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm and hope was short lived. My initial meet was great, the gentleman was lovely, understanding, and did not make it awkward at all. He suggested I speak with a physician next, prior to picking a counselor. I appreciated the diligence, and was prepared to take the next steps. When it was time for my appointment with the physician, that's when things started to change. The doctor was very cold, and made me feel as though my woahs were not real or worthy. I felt discouraged by her tone, and started to second guess myself about many different factors. The meeting was short, she gave me a secondary prescription, and said we would check-in two weeks later. I never heard from her again. I was supposed to receive a booking link after our session to connect with a counselor. It wasn't sent. I waited a bit, thinking maybe I missed something. Triple checked my emails. Looked on the website to see if I could do it myself, but nothing. This caused me to spiral a bit, as I was already under the impression that she did not believe or care about my daily troubles. After a few weeks, I reached out to the initial gentleman I spoke to. He apologized and said he would send my request to client care, so that I could get a link. Well, it's been 8 more weeks, and I haven't heard a thing. I'm disappointed because it has taken a long time to get to the point of even considering speaking with a counselor, and just looking at options was a big step. Now it's been 3 months, and I'm further behind than where I started.
