Five stars for Joel and his staff, they were great, respectful and on time which was very much appreciated. Coastal Pacific owner and his crew are the best. Thank you!

The entire experience was pleasant; from dealing with Joel over the phone and getting a free estimate to the crew that showed up with the attic truck. Best insulation company in the area hands down. Could not recommend them enough on their professionalism and quality of work.

Wall batts not so great........Quoted me for acoustic seal ('the quote software automatically does so'), charged me for acoustic seal, DID NOT install a drop of acoustic seal. Owner stated they don't use it in Comox (but do in Nanaimo- 'different inspectors' apparently). Unused box of acoustic seal left on site by crew. Owner stated I had 'not specifically requested acoustic seal', had 'made assumptions', and had 'come to wrong conclusions' about what the job had required. Amended final invoice by $28 when I requested the invoice be adjusted.
D	Damen Grooms on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Joel was nice enough to talk to on the phone. We set a time up between 11am-12pm. He didn't show or call to let me know. I contacted him 12:20. He informed me he'd have a busy morning and was stuck in traffic but would be at my house in 20 min. I was strapped for time but agreed. Waited until 1:20 (hour later), I was now late for next appointment. Texted him and cancelled. He apologized for not being able to make our 'window'. I responded that his idea of a window to me was the size of a 'sliding door!' Anyway, very flakey for sure. Do not recommend. After writing this review, Joel contacted me. He apologized and was genuinely accountable for his actions or lack there of. I respect him for doing so. I explained to him that a simple phone call to let me know he was running later would have been all I needed. He agreed, so hopefully this doesn't happen again. All the best Joel and co..

CPI came by and we went in the attic and took a look and listened to my concerns, their reply: "as much as we would like to take your money you don't need more insulation or venting, put your money towards a better skylight" which we are doing. Thank you for being honest; how can you not love a company like that?

They were very prompt in coming out to give us an estimate which came in a few hundred dollars lower than a competitor. They actually walked around the whole attic to give an accurate evaluation. The other guy just looked in one of the access points and told us it was unlikely we would get a rebate from Hydro. The Coastal crew came two weeks later did the insulation in three hours and left everything as they found it. We applied for the rebate and were surprised to receive a $900. credit..

He asked excellent questions and was able to help me see appropriate solutions!!! He even helped me understand the provincial and federal energy rebate programs. Good information is very hard to come by! Joel helped me out a lot and I will be using his services for my attic in the near future!
