I've always encountered genuinely human and humane treatment. Pleasant conversation, demeanor, courtesy which is natural and sincere, trustworthy!! Recommend them to anyone.

Was here Jan 19 am at Parksville location and had a new employee being trained was absolutely best service ever very friendly professional knowledgable and it was good for me because I was getting a new type of policy so I walked out feeling like I actually understood everything I was getting . Unlike most other times I got insurance from other places I really had no idea what I was actually covered for because they just rush ya out through all the paper work.

I've been a member for over 20 years and have never had anything but helpful friendly service. I have had two mortgages with them and both times was treated with sincerity and understanding. It's a good financial institution to do business with.

Worst place for insurance, after dealing with them for the past 5 years with hit and miss service I have finally , with my last visit, come to the conclusion that this place is not to be trusted for good service. I'm sure the employees reading this "think" they provide a good service but Im here to say YOU DON'T .....advice? someone walks in , tend to them instead of trying to reach next level on Fortnite . Be parking 200 ' up the road to Waypoint from this day forward......also they are open Saturdays on long weekends.

I will never do my auto insurance with this company again! Ever! I went in yesterday to do a simple ICBC transaction, plate transfer. The Parksville location has insurance on the right, and drivers licensing on the left (after you walk in). They have cards they want you to grab that says insurance or licensing. I then went to the waiting area, there was already a couple waiting to do Autoplan, another customer came in after me, for autoplan as well. I was waiting my turn when the lady from the drivers licensing (left side) came over and asked if anyone was doing drivers licenses. We all said no. She then asked what type of ICBC transaction we are doing. The couple that was already waiting (before me) had purchased a vehicle, the customer that came in after me, said they had a renewal. The lady then said, "I am just doing really simple transactions." She then took the guy who came in last up to her work station and did his transaction (allowing a customer to cut in line). I have never in my life seen an employee of a business that does Autoplan, come out into the lobby, ignore the order of the line, and who was waiting first, and then cherry pick for the more simple transaction to do. This is completely unprofessional on the part of Coastal Community. I contacted the General Manager in Nanaimo, she basically tried to pacify me, made excuses for the employee's actions, justifying it, that the employee wants simple transactions in case a drivers license customer comes in. She mentioned she would talk to others about it....blah...blah...blah (the Blow Off!). As a customer and former autoplan agent I call Horse Poop on all these invalid excuses. The employee either possess the skill, knowledge, and care to perform their tasks, or they don't? There is no between, especially considering the amount of years this employee has been employed dealing with ICBC. The employee can also contact the BEU (Broker Inquiry Unit) unit at ICBC and they can even walk them through the transaction if a plate transfer is too hard to do, or too complicated. I also find that Coastal Community didn't resolve the complaint I had, or take it seriously enough. My experience was so bad I walked out. You never want to create an environment in your insurance office where you are causing customers to walk out. There should also be a sign in the lobby that discloses to customers "We have an employee that may or may not help you with your autoplan transaction, you may be bumped back to the line if your transaction is to hard for them." I will never, ever do business with Coastal Community Credit Union again. This used to be one of the best, top notch, and professional insurance offices in the Parksville/Qualicum area.....but now it appears to me to be a gong show.
