★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I received my first Coal & Canary candle as a gift over a year ago, and have been ordering from them regularly since. Their candles are well worth what you pay for them. The scents are soft and not overpowering, and the wooden wicks are a great added touch. Shipping is always fast and their customer service team responds in a very timely manner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think you should be paying your staff more than $12.25 with no benefits or commission if you wanted them to be a 'superstar' employee by "increasing store sales" and "cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts" for $30.00 candles (taken directly from job posting on their website)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been eyeing these candles at the Edmonton Butterdome craft show for awhile. I finally purchased one, a scent that is incredible to smell before it's burning. I was excited to get this candle home and have my home smell like it. Unfortunately, it has been burning for hours and I smell nothing. Disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We met the team from Coal & Canary at the OOAK show in Toronto. Customer service was great, but the product was disappointing. I bought one of their Holiday candles, and it did not have a very noticeable scent, nor did the candle last. The wick stopped working halfway through the candle, and the smoke was always black.

My favourite thing about C&C candles is that while they smell lovely, they're not overpowering to the point of a headache like less well-crafted competitors. I appreciate the creativity behind the brand with their cheeky names and diverse inventory.

I bought a candle from the Toronto One of a Kind show, and after the first burn my candle started giving off lots of smoke to the point my fire alarm was set off. Figuring I just received a faulty candle, I emailed Coal and Canary about my issue and they were so quick and lovely in their reply and immediately sent a new one to me free of charge! I have had no issues with my new candle and have been absolutely loving it - the Chunky Knit Sweater scent is delicious and the crackling of the wood wick is so soothing! A special thank you to Meredith for your help and graciousness!
