What fantastic service! After calling over a dozen local places all with long wait times, I decided to book with Fortier et Frères even if I had to wait a week. We're experiencing a heat wave and it's been very difficult to get by waiting for service while being so pregnant. I took a chance and called again to see if they could come sooner--they called me back within an hour and came right away. I'm so incredibly grateful! Merci!!!

I ordered a Lennox 4 ton XP25 heat pump, CBX40UHV air handler with 25 kw heating coils, Lennox S30 thermostat and an ACU-10 humidifier from Climatisation Fortier et Freres. The installation was done on the promised day. The technicians were very skilled in their job, and the complete installation was done professionally. They took time to explain the system and the thermostat and help connect it to the internet and to our smart phones so we can control the system from anywhere. The complete system is working well. I will recommend Climatisation Fortier et Freres highly for any such installation.

Uodate 25-Nov-2019: Issue is resolved thanks to Mario and Steve who did a good job. Note: After all this, we learn a lesson that Lennox will not help. We have to deal with the dealer. Update 14-Nov-2019: Was a miscommunication; working with Fortier&Freres to resolve the problem. Lennox, if you are reading this review, please HELP! We had Fortier&Freres changed complete our heating and cooling system with Lennox Heat Pump SL18XP1-036, Air Handlers CBX40UHV, Electric Heat Sections ECB40-25CB, Humidifier HWCB3-17 and Thermostat iComfort S30 Wi-Fi in Nov. 2016, the total cost is almost 14K and we are not satisfied with the service from Fortier&Freres in Brossard, Quebec. First issue - 29-Jan-2018 Under warranty - The Heat Pump created a lot of noises while running, Fortier&Freres technician came to take a look and passed me to Service dept. He kept saying the problem caused by the amount of snow that caused the motor broke and we need to install a snow guard which is around $500. We told him if the new Lennox heat pump could not stand the Quebec winter then why Lennox is selling heating system in Quebec? At the end, we had to agree verbally to install the snow guard which is on special at $350 from them plus installation and they started working on the heat pump. The cause of the problem is the motor was attached with only 2 screws (deux visses) to the chassis, the motor was loosen and had to be replaced together with the fan blade. We were lucky with the auxiliary heating during peak of the winter Jan/Feb month. It took a lot of phone call with the company in order to get the repair done under warranty. Second issue - 19-Oct-2019 There was no display on Thermostat iComfort S30 and no power (blue light) on the smart hub. We called Fortier&Freres on Saturday morning and a nice lady called us back one hour later. Since it is out of working hours, there will be a displacement and diagnostic charge of $150 and she asked if we can wait until Monday. On Monday 21/10, Service dept. called and the next available time is on Wednesday and we have to pay for $150 for displacement and diagnostic charge. Half hour later, he called again and there is a technician available in 1 hour and I had to pay with my credit card over the phone with him which I did. The technician came, he turned off the three circuit breakers on the front panel, removed the front panel cover and looked at the electronic control board. After 10 minutes of working on the control board, he pulled out a fuse and said the issue with the fuse, my hope was high with simple issue to fix and our house will warm again. He went to his car to get a replacement fuse then went to the back and opened the cover of the heat pump to check. After went back to the air handler, replaced the blew out fuse and making some checking, he turned on the three circuit breakers on the front panel. As soon as the third switch was turned on, there was smoked and sparks came out from the control board. He turn off all the breakers and said the board is toasted, need to order the board and wanted me to pay for $150 again even I told him that I paid already over the phone. On Monday 28/10, my wife called Fortier&Freres about the duplicate charges, they reverse one of the charge. An hour later, I got a call and said they RECEIVED the board and we have to pay for the labour to replace the board. I told him the technician toasted the board now we have to pay for the labour to replace it and I asked him to have the control board and get another certified service provider to replace it since we don't have trust in their service, he said he DOES NOT have the control board and I have to pay for the labour in order to order the replacement even under warranty. Now we don't have the replacement part since they are the only certified service provider in Brossard Quebec and $13K heating system doesn't work when the temperature is dropping to -3 degree Celsius at night. If Lennox stands behind their product and their certified premier dealer, please HELP us to fix this issue, the winter is coming.

We bought a bi-energy machine at a hefty price because we were told by the salesman that only the thermopompe will work instead of the gas furnace up until the outside temperature goes below -12 degrees celcius. With hydro special bi-energy rates it made sense to opt for this solution. However what happened after the insrallation we noticed that now both the thermopompe and the furnace work sequentially. The thermopompe starts then it stops then the furnace kicks in. This means not only i'm spending on gas but also my electric bill is going up. We called tech support they came and they said that it's normal. Hydro quebec came and changed the counter and the problem is still there. It's been happening when the temperature outside was still relatively warm around 15 degres celcius. Then fortier suggested that we upgrade our thermostat and pay another 800$ but with no garantee that the problem will be solved. We already paid over 8000$ because we were that we would save on energy and recuperate that investment back. The installers are not certified electricians and not professionals even though we were sold on the fact that only employ certified professionals because the installation makes a big difference in the durability of the product. A big disapointment. Left a message with management with no response. I would stay away from this company and their sales pitch that is overrated and false.

Was looking to buy a mini-split heat pump wall mount during COVID19. Companies were not visiting homes to do quotes, but Jean-Francois Fortier guided me through the steps for all the info. he needed; I sent pics and we discussed units and I was able to make a decision after going through similar steps with other service providers. I decided to go with Climatisation Fortier because of their professionalism, rapid response to my questions and needs (bought a Lennox unit, super quiet). On the day of installation, Isaac (tech.) was courteous and helpful guiding us through the set up. There was a glitch in the installation, after a quick call to Jean-Francois, all was resolved, immediately. The installers were skilled and precise. I would definitely recommend them for your air conditioning/heat pump needs. Thank you!

The owner knows the products inside and out which is very reassuring. I'm certain he exercised much patience in answering my (too?) many questions before purchase while I was asking for quotes - thank you. I'm happy with the system, which was sized using rule of thumb but fits perfectly, and the S30 thermostat provides me with an almost complete control over the system to fine tune it for the best performance in my house. I paid in full at the end of installation day even though all the details weren't completed per our agreement. Finishing up the install with the details took longer than i would have liked, however, Fortier and Freres honoured the original agreement. Part of my purchase was an air exchanger which needs to be setup and balanced correctly, which was not their strength. It seems this type of product is not typically installed so do some homework. Overall, I appreciated the transparecy and exchange I had with F&F.

I've been using Fortier for a lot of years now. Always professional, courteous and efficient. Commercial or residential, the service is always as good. My latest project was a small one, moving 1 AC unit in a residence and all went perfect. Isaac did the job and all was clean and functional when he left. Will continue using them, for sure.
