A Job, A Career, A Passion

A wise man once told me the difference between a job, a career and a passion – and that few people ever find their passion.  After working in various jobs during my 8 years of university, first at the University of Winnipeg where I completed a Bachelor of Science in 1990 and then at the University of Waterloo for my Doctor of Optometry 1995, I then embarked on a great optometric career for 17 years.  I ran my own practice for over 15 of those years – learned that I truly working with people and running a business.  When opportunity knocks…I got the chance to find my passion!

I’m truly a numbers geek and love strategizing – so financial planning was the perfect fit.  My career years prepared me to tackle plans for business clients and help them navigate the waters. I get to provide for my clients what no one provided for me.  I thought I had planners in my corner – but I really only had sales people.  And there is so much more to planning than just products.  That lead me to creating the C3© Process where I will take you on the path of financial Clarity to that of Confidence and Control in all your financial matters.

As you can tell, I believe education is critical.  Sales courses are the only base requirement in this business – but let’s face it, they aren’t enough.  So I’ve attained both my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation and am a Certified Health Insurance Specialist.  Continuing to expand on my education and partnering with other great professionals helps to ensure I keep current.
