★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a great time making a sunflower in Jim and Marcelo's class. They are excellent instructors making everyone feel comfortable learning new skills and techniques. The workspace was well organized and clean. I highly recommend for an individual night out or with friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've wanted to try out welding as a hobby for a long time. The only options seemed to be trades schools. I found CJM through word of mouth and signed up for the 6 hour "Recycled Metal Sculpture Workshop." The first 3 hours were under the instruction and tutelage of Jim, a welding instructor for over 30 years. After many welds on a range of tasks, I was ready for creating my own project in the afternoon. This gave birth to Rupert.
Jim was friendly and patient. I learned about MIG welding. The amount of welding I got to do was impressive and included plate welding, welding to fill in gaps and voids, and welding of sheet metal--like autobody work. I learned how to adjust the settings on the welder, safety, and tips on buying my own equipment when I come to that.
In addition to their online catalog offerings, they are prepared to customize courses for parties and groups. I will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just finished my first workshop with CJM and was so impressed with the high level of instruction, safety, clean and well organized workshop and most of all the friendly atmosphere that Jim and Marcelo created and when we finished there was wine and snacks for us to enjoy! Such a great experience and I have a beautiful Christmas Village to put out in my home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My sister and I had a wonderful time at CJM Metalshaping!! We built a Christmas Village and learned how to operate the tools we needed for the project. Marcelo and Jim were so patient and helpful with our projects - no ask was too much!! The finale with wine, cheese and chocolates was over the top!! Thank you both SO much for everything. We are busy thinking about our next welding project...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have gone to three metal art workshops with CJM and they provide such great instruction, safety, and fun that I keep going back! And the best part is you don't need any prior experience with welding to do these projects! It's so satisfying to walk away with a metal art piece at the end of the evening. Would highly recommend going to their workshops.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful way to spend the evening. Marcelo and Jim are very outgoing, supportive and patient and are great at communicating each step of the process. Everyone comes away with a beautiful finished product ... and you've had a night of fun and camaraderie with family and friends. Even if attending with total strangers the evening would be fun as everyone is learning new skills together and watching the creations evolve without any time or perfection pressures. I am definitely returning in the near future to try out their other projects. The wine and snacks at the end of the night allowed us time to compare our finished projects and visit for a minute once the hammering was all done - a nice ending. Great business model!!
