I am absolutely disgusted in the service that my husband and I have received from Paul at Citywide. From the very first "consultation", we have had nothing but poor service. Actually, poor would be an upgrade from the ZERO service that we have received. Firstly, on the day of the consultation (September 16th), our appointment with Paul was for 10:00 am. At 11:20 am Paul called to tell me he was "running late", and could he still come over? Only at my husband's insistence, did I agree. I should have known at this point that it would only get worse. Phoning someone when you are already 1hr20m late, without so much of as an apology, left me with a bad taste in my mouth. At the end of our appointment with Paul, he asked us when we were planning on doing the project, and we informed him it would only be in the Spring of 2019, but that we wanted a quote sooner rather than later because we were in the process of doing our finances with the bank and we wanted an idea of what the cost outlay would be. It has since been SEVEN weeks since that consultation and I have YET to receive a quote. I have followed up by email, and my husband has phoned several times. The last time my husband phoned, a week and a half ago, Paul laughed at him and said how "persistent" he was, but that yes, he would get us the quote in a "couple of days". Needless to say, after this disgusting display of customer service, I will NOT being using Citywide Sundecks to do my project, and I will be sure to post as many of these reviews on various websites to help others avoid the same awful service that I have received. In a way I count this as a blessing, because if he is this tardy with a simple quote, I can't even begin to imagine what it would have been like to deal with him as a contractor.

We purchased a gut-reno home in West Van that has 2nd & 3rd floor balconies plus a suspension bridge entryway. Within 2 years of purchase, the glass railings on both balconies and entryway had come dangerously loose due to the original contractor’s improper installation of the waterproofing membrane. We had another well-reviewed patio installation company give us an estimate of $40k to remediate the balconies alone which we thought was too expensive. We called Citywide to give us another reference estimate. We were immediately impressed with Paul’s willingness to get down on his knees and dig into the crux of the issue. His experience and expertise was evident from the initial consult and we were pleasantly surprised to find Citywide’s quote to be basically the same as the first patio company BUT Citywide’s scope including the repair of the balconies and front entryway. Work commenced a little late and took longer than expected due to miserable fall rain delays. However, the crew and our team leader, Jonathan, were unfailingly professional, courteous, hard-working and conscientious. A few areas of rot that were not included in the initial scope of work were discovered mid-project but Jonathan and Paul were very fair in minimizing the financial inpact. While we wished it didn’t need to be done in the first place, we are very pleased with the end result of our balcony/entryway remediation project. Our neighbours have commented how great our entryway looks and we have already recommended Citywide to friends. We are also considering having Citywide come back to do another garage/driveway project. All-in-all, Citywide has been a pleasure to work with.

We hired CityWide to replace the membranes on two smaller sized decks. In the process significant rot was discovered which had compromised the structural integrity of our home. It was very unpleasant. However, CityWide scaled very well with the size of the project providing journeyman carpenters, a consulting engineer, electrician, a stucco specialist, a drywall specialist and a flashing specialist. I felt Paul was very up-front and transparent with the costs. We did a limited amount of shopping around and the costs seemed reasonable. CityWide’s employees are a refreshingly diverse bunch and are good all folks. We spent a lot of time together. The timelines that Paul provided were often a little optimistic. However, we never felt abandoned with a half finished job. The quality of the work was great. I don’t think our house will fall down anymore, our house looks nice again...and we even got new membranes on our decks! We would hire them again.

I hired Citywide to come out to Gibsons and do the vinyl for a newly built deck on our house. They sent Jaswinder and his son, who were really nice people. They were professional and did a great job. Really, I have no complaints. Also, they did it for the price they quoted, and were able to send someone to us quickly even though it was mid-summer and they were very busy. Everyone else said they couldn't get to our job for several weeks. Citywide gave us a great quote (cheaper than all the other quotes I got) and they did a really good job. We are happy with their performance as a company.... What more could you ask for?

Paul and his team are professionals in every sense. Practical, efficient and customer-centric. They understood my needs and situation and were able to work within my difficult set of parameters to produce a beautiful vinyl deck surface and railings. Couldn't recommend them any more.

Citywide built a ground level composite deck with a free standing aluminum and glass canopy. The workmanship on the deck and connecting stairs was excellent with lots of attention to detail. The canopy crew had to be supervised a bit more, but still very happy with the result. The company was very accommodating with changes, but watch that changes can lead to costs increasing quickly, so make sure to agree to cost changes ahead of time. Overall timelines for completion were generally on schedule with some minor delays. The team was overall very good to work with.
