My name is Dr. Abel Akon a graduate of 1998 from Assuit University, College of Veterinary Medicine in Egypt.
I moved to Saskatchewan in 2000, worked in several veterinary clinics before establishing City Mobile Veterinary Practice in 2014.
My goal is to offer your pets with nonemergency veterinary services such as wellness exams, Preventive care, and treatments of minor injuries in the comfort of their own homes.
A House Call provides a convenient and excellent opportunity for an individualized vet service to patients and clients in a stress-free environment of their own residence.
I am passionate and committed to addressing your furry friends’ veterinary needs in a professional manner and will refer them to other veterinary hospitals if further diagnostic and hospitalization is required.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Akon was very compassionate towards my situation. My cat had been fighting kidney failure for the last year. He began to deteriorate rapidly and the hardest decision had to be made. He was able to come to my home to help my baby Simon pass Rainbow Bridge when my regular vet was not able. He had words of wisdom to help me cope with the biggest loss of my life. He was very caring, compassionate, and down to earth. He allowed me to take the time I needed and did everything so calmly and respectfuly. Dr. Akon I thank you so much for your help, your words, and your grace during such a difficult time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We learned 3 weeks ago that our black lab, Raven had cancer. We desperately wanted to say goodbye in the comfort of our home but our regular vet would not make a house call due to COVID. We reached out to Dr. Akon and with his help we said good bye to a very precious member of our family. Dr. Akon was compassionate and kind and his words of comfort helped us through a very difficult time. He was very professional and arrived on time with very short notice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had to place our family cat Fluffy of 18 yrs to rest lastnight. It was the hardest decision to make. We had praying she would just go naturally and we wouldn't have to make the decision. Unfortunately her suffering got to unbearable for her and us. We called upon Dr. Akon and he was kind, compassionate and respectful. He came to our home and allowed us to be a part and surround her with all our love til she had her last breathe. We lit candles, played our worship music and for such a sad n emotion time it turned very calm n peaceful. All made happen by Dr Akon. He spoke to us about the whole procedure and what to expect. He was very gentle and so patient with us and Fluffy. He asked us about her as our cat and memories. He took his time. At the end he said a prayer and blessing to us and our fluffy. He assisted us so much in our loss and grieving. He came on time. Professional but, human with a heart. The pricing was fair n compatible to other vets. It was worth the price as he went over and beyond just being a Dr/Vet. Thank you and God Bless you Dr. Abel Akon ?? Deserves 10 ⭐

He was so kind and gentle. If you would like a peaceful passing for your fur baby, I would definitely recommend him.
