Horrendous customer service... original couch I order would have taken almost 3 months to arrive. Chose a different one and they refused to deliver "assuming" it would not fit through the doorway of my apartment. Big mistake. Not only did they cost themselves a customer and a bad name they are liars. And offered no solution to rectify the situation when called. The couch I got instead was just as big if not bigger and there was enough space I could have got something even bigger. Very disappointed

*Update. After speaking with the owner (via Ashley Furniture) I've updated my review from 2, to 3, and then finally 4 stars. Something that to me makes the difference between a 2-star store and a 4-star store is attentive, involved owners and management who are willing to seek out the source of a problem and make sure that everything is resolved. This store has that, and despite my initial bad first reception I wouldn't hesitate to shop there again, and would be willing to recommend this store to others. *Original. We visited in Dec '21 to look at couches and dishwashers. On the up side, City Furniture has the largest selection of appliances in town. If you want to go handle, touch or otherwise physically see appliances before you buy them, this is the place - at least in town. We were shopping mainly for couches. We did manage to sit on all the options there that matched what we wanted. We did have a salesperson approach us - that was the end of the good. The salesperson was uninterested in helping us find or order anything. He would randomly start a conversation with us and walk away to speak with other customers. We were told that what we wanted didn't exist, but we should visit Palliser Canada online and we could have something custom built. We commented that we liked the feel of the "Ashley" brand couches. When my wife and I left we commented to each other that although City Furniture has been there forever, and we have shopped there a few times, we've never left the store feeling like it was a worthwhile shopping experience. I've changed the review from 2 stars - Which Google describes as "Didn't like it" to 3, "It's Ok" to reflect the fact that there is in store selection, which is a rarity in Quesnel. Also, because a store owner who cares enough to contact on a poor review sometimes deserves a bump for offering to fix the problem. Immediately after leaving we went to Ashley Furniture. We bought a sectional on our visit, made by Ashley, the ones we liked at City Furniture. It was in stock and didn't need to be custom ordered from a furniture manufacturer. (The owners of the two stores may be the same - if so, it goes to show how much a specific salesperson can change your opinion of a store visit.)

Willow the sales representative was excellent. There was no high pressure sales pitch, just competent well informed answers to my questions. Willow listened well and valued my time. I have already purchased a Palliser recliner so I knew the product . This time I purchased a love seat. Delivery was well done and the gentlemen were very pleasant.
