β β β β β I have been a customer of Elie's (owner) for 5 years. He has the finest selections in cigars and pipes. Don't be fooled by others this man stocks more then anyone in the Ottawa area. Seriously go check this location out or one of his other stores.

As a novice cigar smoker, I truly appreciate the patience and helpfulness of this man who has always given me good advice. Which is why I keep going back. I may not go often, but when I need cigars, this is where I go.

β β β β β I have been smoking some gifted cigars occassionally this year as a stress reliever but I have decided recently to take it up as a leisure weekly activity, however, realized I knew very little about it. After watching a few videos about some basics, I went over to this particular Cigar Man. This location after reading some of its' reviews and my personal experiences will be my go to and others are right to rank it also quite high.
The owner was able to answer my questions, make recommendations according to my budget and help me get a starter set of my own to enjoy a brand new world of relaxation that is cigars. The videos helped with the basics, but not as much as he did in terms of getting me started.
Highly Recommended.

In response to earlier review of him pushing you out... There is often a queue of regular customers outside the door and there is a "one customer at a time policy" due to Covid. At this point in time it would be courteous of you to mind your manners and go "window-shop" somewhere else. Eli is a professional that will help you with what you need tobacco-wise.
I have been a regular for many years, and I have never had a negative experience. Quite to the contrary, he is up for a chat as long as there is no queue of people behind you. Which I welcome.
Once the pandemic is over, I am sure you can window-shop to your hearts content.

β β β β β This storeβs cigars are often poorly kept and damaged. I asked for a particular brand and when the owner rang them up, they were visibly mouldy. He put them back in the humidor for re-sale (!) and sold me a smaller size, and when I got it home it was also damaged: the binding was cracked and blemished, obviously kept in overly humid conditions (see photo). This is not the first time Iβve bought cigars that were damaged from this place, but this time Iβve had enough. The prices at this store are twice what you pay online, the product is poorly cared for, and I agree with other reviews that the owner is pushy and rude.

β β β β β From out of town and found this place as the only cigar store opened on a Sunday long weekend. OMG. What a goldmine I stumbled into! This shop has brands and types I haven't seen in years - a great selection of the best Cuban, Swiss, Nicaraguan, Guatemalan, and Dominican cigars. Incredible. Owner is top notch.
