CIBC in Montreal is poorly organized and there is not many branches and ATM so I don't suggest to open account at CIBC in Montreal.
J	J L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The customer service and overall level of professionalism at this branch has gone completely downhill in the last 4 years. A once decent branch with competent and knowledgeable financial experts has now been overrun by hostile staff who are extremely deceptive and rude. As a longtime investor with CIBC, I am extremely disappointed in the way one particular staff member handled a simple request on my behalf regarding my mutual funds. Instead of carrying out a simple asset liquidation, she opted instead to open a money market fund (which likely would have benefitted her since it would count as a "sale" on her end). When confronted, she not only openly lied about my initial request but also rudely told me to call CIBC's customer support line instead next time. Nevermind the fact that according to CIBC's customer support reps, the rectification of such issues such as this should be best done by the financial "advisors" at one's designated branch! Maybe the branch's hiring practice, as of late, is to cater to a particular target demographic but for the majority of customers this is simply a grave disservice and reveals the sorry state of things there.

T	The reviewer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have a complaint on online global money transfer but since the complaint form on cibc website is not working, I am posting it here . Also I opened my cibc account in that branch. My complaint is: I still have not received money in my Overseas account. I was sent money previously by the same sender from their cibc account and to my same overseas recipient account and it worked. Now it is not working and the money was sent more than 10 days ago, I called my bank and they said the delay is from your side. The sender contacted you many times but nothing has happened and the sender was not even refunded the money. We have tested your GMT in this month for a smaller amount and it worked. I am quite shocked and disappointed that your service is that unreliable. Tell that to your customers before they open accounts with you

I always see a homeless guy stay in front of ATM around 10:00pm. I always finish my work late so I have to deposit my money to that bank at late night. And that homeless guy stay here let me feel insecurity for my money. The bank should find the security or take some action to guarantee the safe of their client.

Through the years I can only say that I've been serviced by one of the best group of people there is . And yesterday I was told that a true pillars on this excellent location is near retirement ! After 44 years of faithful service - dedicated to stellar service à la clientèle , la fin et arrivée . All those clients that had the opportunity to extend their carte de guichet over to this remarkable person, know whom I'm eluding to. Thank you very much for guidance , patience and your wonderful smile. Hopefully the CIBC will recognize such a great employee to same level we did. I know I'm speaking for many. Romain
