Chocoland Cafe

What a great discovery. Was driving around looking for a place to eat dessert and by coincidence found Chocoland. A name that speaks for its self, a menu full of choices you don’t know where to begin. Have a look at the desserts we ordered. Absolutely amazing and tasty!!!! The restaurant is beautiful and clean, outdoor seating is gorgeous you see the bow building and more. Just a beautiful atmosphere all together with nice عربي music ?. Thank you Abu Shaker for the amazing service and we will definitely come again with more people.

I was excited to come here when I heard about this place. I mean the name itself promises chocolate and being a chocoholic I had prepared to eat everything. This place is in a good location downtown that is nice and close to a C-Train. I walked inside and this place is beautiful. It's warm brown walls and exotic touches whisked me away to a far-away place. The speakers played some beautiful instrumental music to set the mood. A beautiful mood it was. Sadly this is where it changes. The service here isn't that good. They are friendly but not very attentive and very slow. I was the only person there. I had to wait a long time before I was seated. When I was ready to order, I had to wait a good 15 minutes before the server came and asked me what I wanted to drink alone. They rarely came by to check on me and I had to continually flag down someone. Again, there was noone but me here in this place. My food which should be something relatively simple took a long time as well. The food was okay but disappointing especially for the price. Since there isn't alot to choose from, I ordered a green tea, fruit skewer, and crunch fruit salad. The green tea was good and of course the chocolate was great but you don't get this chocolate sauce on alot of their product. My skewer had a cream puff that was definitely a store bought item, very little fruit, and a marshmallow that was very generic. The salad had a few fresh fruits with whipped cream and some strawberry ice cream and that was good. However, the bits of chocolate were bland in comparison to the chocolate sauce. Then I found frozen fruit on the bottom of it. This is something that I could do myself if I wanted. In short, this place is an okay place to stop if you have the money and you like some good ethinic music. But don't expect too much with the food. There are better places to enjoy some chocolate. And make sure you're not in a hurry. You'll be late if you're in a rush

Location is nice. The desserts looked good. Taste wise, it's not overly sweet which was nice. The chocolate was good however I did not enjoy the ice creams. Service was quite slow as well. Had high hopes for this place but overall it was a little underwhelming.

Totally loved it!!! Overwhelming menu with more than fair prices! Staff was also very friendly :) Really nice, pretty, aesthetically pleasing café with fresh homemade food!

Nice atmosphere, ambience, and location. I really like that they offer shiesha upstairs. The desserts are decent, not amazing. I think it would be nice if there were more items that had a mix of fruit and sweets. It seems like most of the stuff on the menu was either just a lot of fruit or too heavy. But it’s a nice place overall as we don’t have too many late night dessert places in Calgary. Would probably come back.

Such a great ambience and location! Went here after skating and got the stuffed burger waffle. It was crazy big portion which was nice for the two of us. For the amount of chocolate they put on, it's surprisingly not too sweet which made the dish delicious and memorable. we did order a mango and vanilla shake, and was a little disappointed since the mango shake tasted like a vanilla shake that was just coloured light orange.

Modern clean place with over the top desserts. I had the “Volcano”. Three big pieces of brownie stacked over chocolate ice cream. You will want to share with two or three people. While it was very good, it was too much for me. Minor irritants included no printed menus and no glasses of water—bottles only.

I love this place so much. I’ve been back a handful of times, and it never disappoints. It’s relatively inexpensive, especially for what you’re getting. The burger waffle is their most wonderful creation in my opinion, says it’s good for two people, i’d say it’s good for one if you have the right attitude ;) pizza waffle is a close second. the atmosphere is very fun, staff are so friendly, I always enjoy my time here!!!
