The Chinook Musical Society
The Chinook Musical Society is a non-profit organization that hosts a series of concerts each year under the name "Saturday Night Special".
Our objective is to provide access to high-quality musical acts at reasonable prices and we strive to bring to the stage a range of entertainment that will appeal to a diverse audience. Although the Society has traditionally presented performers from the folk and country music genres, we have ventured into blues, folk rock, western, and Celtic music without sacrificing the quality that has become expected of our concerts. While we do bring in acts from all over North America, we are especially proud to showcase Canadian and Alberta talent.
We present between 9 and 10 Saturday evening concerts per year, running from 7:00 p.m. to about midnight. For the last 20 plus years, our house band, the Beagle Boys, open the evenings and then we continue with two sets from our headline act or acts and end about 11:30 pm.
Please note that all concerts are restricted to those of legal drinking age.
Tickets are not available at the door but may be available in the ticket section of this website.
