During my time at Chinook, I never felt that I was pressured to make my flights longer or to fly on days where I wouldn’t be getting maximum value for my money. Being a larger school, there was always an instructor around to go with questions. I had my first job in the industry lined up before I finished my training due to Chinooks connections. If you’re looking into becoming a pilot, Chinook is the place to be.

I have nothing but good things to say about the school. The environment at Chinook promotes learning and safety to an extreme. You can literally walk up to anyone in the building at anytime with a question and they will do their best to help you solve it, it is quite remarkable. Also the staff is incredibly knowledgeable, with an abundance of experience the instructors will set you up with skills to become a great pilot. Maintenance is a clear priority at the school and it shows from the machines being well looked after to the cleanliness of the building. Be prepared to work hard as the program is not easy. But you have all the tools and support you require at your finger tips. Chinook is an all around magnificent school, the owner Cathy Press has put her heart into it and it shows. I highly recommend anybody who wants to get their license to consider Chinook Helicopters.

The instructors are all incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and care for every single student. The administration team, engineers, instructors, and Cathy are all focused on the success of every individual that attends Chinook. The level of training you will receive here is far beyond anywhere else. You will not regret your decision to train at Chinook.

Immediately, I knew they were the right choice for my training, and their world renowned reputation as the best school in North America is well deserved. The family at Chinook actually cares about their students success during and after training. They provide top-notch fixed-wing training that is suited to each student's different learning styles. The instructors are welcoming, expierienced, knowledgable and great people. Each aircraft is perfectly maintained and kept immaculate. I made many life-long friends during my training, and all of my success as a commercial pilot is credited to them.

After being postponed and suffering from unnecessary mental tortures in another big but shabby and scam school in YXX, I decided to come here to complete my IFR and FI ratings. Heard about their reputation year ago and the enrolment experience was nice. The office ladies could remember my full name after 1.5 year (I completed PPAER test there). 5 instructors here have 35-51 years of flying and flight instruction experiences and all of instructors are professional, they are able to use minimum amount of talking to empower students' potentials as well as understandings. Instructors and staffs are friendly and they know what they are doing. Planes here are mordern and safe. Instructors & staffs treat students with sincerety, respect and professionalism.

Having had no background in this field, I relied on my own research and reviews. That lead me to Chinook helicopters and I could tell from the moment I walked in the door that it was the right place. The staff do everything they can to help you advance in your training and you can tell your success means a lot to them. They also go that extra mile to assist you after your training, with things like your resume and getting you connected with employers in the industry. I thoroughly enjoyed my training experience at Chinook and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to start a new career in aviation or wanting to upgrade their existing skills.
J	Jaime A on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mom & Son initial flying lesson today Chinook Helicopters Ltd. Each of us were able to have an instructor in separate Cessna aircraft. Definitely would recommend you try this out. The private pilot license is 60 hours and commercial is 200 hours. Your initial flight counts towards either program. Definitely recommend the experience whether you want to follow through with a pilots license after. My son loved it and wants to continue (kids 17 and up can experience or enrol). You are on the controls just over half of the flight in your first flight) with exception to take off and landing). Flight is between 1200 and 2600ft high.
