Didn't received any help from this place. I was having trouble with my son's rages of anger and what the specialist there said was that when kids are like that, it's because parents aren't strict enough. That was the answer I received and I just wasted our time because someone recommended this place. Thank God I found another place and he is doing much better now.

I need to say a huge Thank you to Karen who talked to me so nicely on the phone giving advice and calming me down. I am so grateful to her for that. This centre helped me with my daughter's problems as well.

I was their for 4 days and the food was OLD hospital food i touched another person with a matt in gymnasium and got sent to my room for a day and a half and wasn't allowed to have a dam note pad in my room cause it had a small amount of metal being on the note pad so as a person who was stuck there parents do not send your child there.

I stayed here when I was 17 for depression, at 5’2 and 120 lbs I was told I was over weight, talk about going in for one issue and coming out with another. Do not send your kids here, this place doesn’t help.

Unhelpful organization.... DO NOT send your child here if they are transgender and struggling with being accepted.... "psychologist" here told both me and my child that he was "confused" and refused to respect him/his gender.... this was not helpful for treating his depression obviously.... children are not allowed to make physical contact of any kind while staying here, including high-fives, hugs, etc with friends.... I don't know how any human being will be happier after no contact for a week.... Want to give zero stars.... will have to look in Winnipeg.

I’ve been here twice, neither time had it felt like a safe place to be. Especially being transgender. The nurses never used my pronouns despite me having a masculine name. I was woken up with β€œhey girl!” on multiple occasions and when I finally had the courage to speak up about it, one of the nurses told me it was because they had to use my deadname when working on my file. There was no change, only excuses. I was treated like this despite being in there because of my identity struggles. There was another trans kid in there who was much younger than me and they didn’t even bother using their name. Only the teacher used it. If I had enough writing space I could elaborate on everything else that happened, but I think you get the point. Treat trans kids better please. It’s basic human decency.

such a terrible facility. i was stuck here for 5 days and the nurses were rude, unhelpful, and disrespectful. some weren’t even nurses! they do not care about helping you get better or your general wellbeing. they will confiscate all of your things, even if they’re not dangerous. i witnessed a young girl being dragged to her room while she screamed. DO NOT send your children here unless you want them to be further traumatized. i know a young girl who was abused here and overdosed from the drugs they gave her. absolutely a terrible place and i would not wish the experience upon my worst enemy. i wish i could give zero stars. this is a place people throw their children when they don’t know what to do with them, and it’s disgusting.
