An amazing hidden gem in heart of the Cowichan Valley. Come check out all the unique vendors the Cafe, the 50s style icecream dinner and Captain Andy's Fish and Chips, the menu is diverse while focusing on fish and chips. Also check out Vancouver Islands only LEGO specialty shop Brickitty-dooda! Insane amount of hard to find sets and over 1000s unique collectable lego minifigures to adore!

Ate land lovers food at the fish and chip restaurant. Excellent food, the fries were some of the best I've had. We even had red rose tea :)

A really vibrant market. Good variety of things for sale, ranging from craft art to what looked like it could have been lunchbags? If only I had looked closer when I had the chance. There were some people playing music, which managed to be charming, rather than obnoxious - a feat in such a public space.

Cute indoor market with lots of seating to enjoy a treat or a meal or just have a visit. The cafe/ ice cream parlour are good for a meal, but the kitchen is tiny so be prepared to wait. We grabbed a Ruben and a Deluxe Grilled Cheese & Fries and it took about 45 minutes to get our food, but the grilled cheese was arguably the best we have ever had, and we’re no strangers to a great grilled cheese.

This place is super cute and a must-see if you're a local OR a tourist. There are a dozen or so small businesses located within. It's fun to take the whole family for a walk around the market, browsing the seemingly infinite number of unique treasures. There is a fish and chips place, a coffee shop, and an ice cream parlor inside. The hidden gem is located in the back: the arcade. They house roughly twenty games, mostly classic pinball games that are in pristine condition and are beautiful --if you appreciate gaming like I do. =) O! I almost forgot about the Lego! Keep your eyes peeled for the Lego.

Beautiful little town with a lot of history. The walls in the Chemainus public market are painted with people who made some mark. That's the town's speciality to see beautifully painted walls. It's great to make a quick stopover on the way to Nanaimo and/or Pacific Rim National Park. It's worth a visit.

I stopped in after driving by numerous times and I have to tell you I was totally shocked at what I saw. There were so many neat stores (individual booths) inside as well as restaurants and a coffee shop that I couldn’t believe it. They had a Lego store, an arcade, a pet store, various gift shops and even a hair salon. You must, must, must, stop in sometime and walk through to check it out. The washrooms are at the back of the store and there’s tons of great items inside.
