C	Chaela Chantler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My dad had purchased an order from Chef Chan's Chinese this week, it was our first time ordering from their and I would have to say it was also our last. Most of the food we ordered was good, for the most part I was enjoying my meal until I took a bite of the spring roll.. I nearly barfed it tasted like celery mixed with apple pie filling, jus cinnamon and veggies. I couldn't even hold it down, after that I was finished with my meal the spring rolls completely spoiled my appetite.

It used to be pretty good but my shrimp curry had giant chunks of lazily chopped vegetables (like 1/4 of a green pepper in size) and my girlfriend's spring rolls were 80% celery. It made us wonder if the line chef was new or disgruntled
M	M Hurls on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of our favourite goto Chinese restaurants. The mushroom Egg Foo Yung is excellent and the Shanghai noodles are my favourite. My wife loves their egg rolls and the kids love the chicken chow mein. I'd highly recommend.

I ordered a Cantonese Chow Mein and the noodles were just boiled egg noodles. Where’s the fried crispy noodles? Getting the crispy noodles right is the hardest part of making Cantonese Chow Mein and Chef Chan didn’t even try! The flavour was also off as the sauce does not taste like that for Cantonese Chow Mein. The chicken fried rice and sesame chicken were decent. But making decent fried rice is the least you can expect from a Chinese food place.
B	Brandy Laurier on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Normally you get either quality food or a large amount of food. You don't get both. With Chef chan you get both and I mean a HUGE serving ... the food is quality. You can tell everything is cooked separately which is not always the case with Chinese Food. Vegetables were crispy noodles done perfectly, shrimp was good. This is now our go to place for Chinese...we have been looking since our normal place closed down 6 month ago and couldn't find anywhere that was even reasonably good. Chef chan is even better than our old Chinese food restaurant go to...They told us up to 1hour n 15 minutes and the food was on our table 40 minutes later. Pleasant ordering and delivery expereince i have nothing critical to say here. ..I 100% recommend this place
d	debbie fairy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The only Chinese food i will buy..and i live south of Orillia..so its a 35 minute drive for me to pick up. My parents lived in Stroud for over 20 years and once a month we would do this as dinner..never disappointed-great taste and the quantities were unreal..a dinner for 4 could easily feed 6 or 7 people.. I know its under new owners in the last cple of years..but ive still found the taste,quantity and quality to be on par with the previous owners.. The dinner for four #B is the best deal..the shrimp and chicken balls arent soaked in greasy batter where you only get batter..the beef and chickn dishes are loaded with both and fresh veggies.. I love the fact that i can freezer bag what i dont use and reheat later and its just as good.. My parents are no longer living there but i still drop by every 3-4 months and get my fix.. Keep up the good work..to me its worth the drive to get what ive always liked..and ill keep doing so

Very disappointed in quality of food, our leftovers definitely going into the green bin. Your spring rolls are not traditional! How can Chinese Chef Chan make them so unsavoury, so radically different than every other Chinese takeout in Barrie! Sorry you guys have got to do a better job than this! Maybe it's better to put up with the hassle of Mandarin management's arrogance than to accept the mediocrity of Chef Chans take out Chinese food.
