My husband and I have had our money managed by Chartwell Financial for over 15 years and have always had very professional experiences. Our questions and concerns have always been answered quickly and to our satisfaction. We are both retired and therefore our investment security is important. We trust this company and their employees and will continue to deal with them in the future.

Investors be advised. Before you give any of your money to Chartwell Financial Group, be sure to ask any of their financial advisors the following questions: 1. What happened with “The Magna High Income Fund”? 2. What are “Market Exempt Securities”? 3. How much of your investors money have you lost in the last 10 years? 4. Has Chartwell or any of its employees been reported to the Financial Planning Standards Council recently? 5. Do you have any law suits pending? In brief, this is my story, and the story of many others. Chartwell Financial Group Greg Cameron (CLU, Chartered Life Underwriter, Founder), has lost at least 50% of my personal RSP's. All of my investments have been frozen going on 3 years and counting. I have been told it will take many more years to get any returns from what's left of my RSP's. The value of my remaining investments is still in decline. My new financial advisor that's taken over my RSP has said I may see 40 cents on the dollar back in return, but that is looking highly unlikely at this point. The numbers are all trending downward and I’ve pretty much resigned myself to the fact that Greg Cameron has lost hundreds of thousands of dollars of my families RSP investments. Greg Cameron invested my money in “Market Exempt Securities” and never told me, he also didn’t explain any of the VERY HIGH RISK involved when investing in Market Exempt Securities - if he had done, I would never had agreed to it and I’m pretty sure none of the many other people invested would have either. Greg Cameron was supposed to invest my money in a mix of low, medium, and high-risk investments. Greg Cameron never explained to me that "low risk" means "high risk" and "medium risk" also means "high risk". It was also never explained to me that if one investment goes bad, then all of my investments go down with it, and all investments get frozen. From what Greg Cameron explained to me, one of Chartwell's investment funds, “The Magna High Income Fund”, took a dive because a guy on Wall Street who was managing the fund disappeared with all the cash, and for this reason, "ALL", of the funds that Greg Cameron invested my money in were frozen, (not just the Magna High Income Fund) and myself and many other investors, some still working and some already retired, are out of pocket by 50% + on our investments and can't access any of our money. For years before this happened I asked to cash out on some of my investments, and Greg Cameron and Chartwell Financial told me, “I’m next in line” - and I never saw any money for as long as I asked for it. This set off alarm bells too - PONZI SCHEME maybe!? Who knows what they had done with my money. I also know of a case where a retired person had to sell their home and go back to work because their RSP accounts have been frozen! Millions of dollars of investors’ money have been lost! This is worst case scenario! This doesn't just happen in the movies! It happened to me and my family and we have lost a fortune by letting Chartwell Financial, Greg Cameron, manage our retirement savings. I would avoid Chartwell Financial, Greg Cameron and anyone of their representatives at all costs. The risk is very high with this company. What they have done is criminal and Greg Cameron and others should be in jail.
