★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I discovered this place when I moved to Montréal in 1974 and have been going there ever since. Great Hungarian sausages and the best rib steaks in town. Joe, their head butcher, who has been there for 60 years, is an institution. Lovely man.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This specialty butcher is a real gem. Friendliest butcher I've ever come across, with great quality and selection of meats, as well as other condiments. I remember the owner giving me a little lesson on dry aged steaks the first time I was here and I've been hooked ever since. Highly recommend the Hungarian sausages.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My dad has been going to this deli since the 80s. We're in Ottawa, and used to be able to do the trip very frequently. Now that he can't, I stop by every time I'm in Montreal and buy some meats as gifts. Anyone I have ever given sausages to becomes absolutely obsessed. You can't get this kind of quality anymore.
Joe is amazing, and I look forward to seeing him when I go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great old school butcher with nice Hungarian and Polish products. The spicy sausages are excellent - anytime I serve them alone or as part of a dish people always ask about them. Also one of the more reasonably-priced rib steaks around.
