Our family was impressed by the high degree of professionalism and courteous respect we saw in our interactions with every member of the entire team. We met with Sandra Wong a year earlier for our pre-need arrangements, and then worked closely with Nam Thach when it came time to take care of all the practical details for the visitation and memorial service for my father. Even the unique challenges of expediting the paperwork necessary to have the final burial in California only four days after the funeral service in Montreal were taken care of in a timely manner. About 260 attended the memorial meeting, with their spacious chapel filled to capacity and the rest watcing the livestreams video in an overflow room upstairs. We used three reception rooms to serve a hot catered dinner after the service and there were plenty of tables and chairs set up for everyone to visit together. This was the only funeral home in Montreal that could have accommodated such a large number, and it was so nice to have three levels of secure underground parking onsite for all the guests. We are so grateful for the excellent service we received from Nam Thach and everyone else on their staff. You made a difficult time of loss for our family much more bearable. Thank you so much!

This was a very disappointing experience. Our counselor Sylvain provided no informative session. He just sat us down and showed us line items of costs. And then ended the session with “Any questions?” There was no information about the logistics of how the ceremony would be carried out or what was standard protocol. Additionally, they didn’t coordinate our costs with the funeral home, so I was double billed. I called our counselor and he assured me he would call me back to resolve it, and never did. I had to call the funeral home accounting department and they have told me it’s not in their realm to issue a refund. The death of a loved one is a trying time. The entire process using their services just added to the stress and chaos. And I have yet to be contacted by anyone from their company regarding the double billing.

In general all the details of the funeral arrangements by Melanie was perfectly arranged and she was absolutely delightful to work with. My only complaint which I am highly disappointed with was the fact that only 2 people could be at my mom's burial. This I do not understand as we all came prepared with masks and gloves and my son (who is an adoptee) -my mom is the only family he has or knows of and only by the grace of God that my father's grave site was on Remembrance Road that he found us and viewed the burial at a distance (some 60 feet away). That day we were 5 people at the burial sight. My husband, myself, the priest, a grave digger and a representative of the cemetery. Frankly, I did not need the grave digger, he could have been 40 feet away as my son (was even further) and so could have the other gentleman. They were both courteous which was much appreciated however I was heartbroken by the fact that my son could not be at his only grandmother's grave site for her burial. She helped raise my son as did I and this was the ultimate hurt, insult and insensitive act anyone could portray upon me personally and to my family. Why my son could not be accommodated is beyond my comprehension. As I mentioned my husband and I both had masks and gloves but the grave digger and the representative did not … perhaps they should have if they were so afraid of getting the virus. Incidentally, other cemeteries allow more than 2 people for the burial … after all … its a burial not a party. Perhaps this information could be provided at the time of making the arrangements that more people will be attending the burial and allow them … rather than just rejecting them outright. BTW, Melanie did mention that only 2 people were allowed. This unfortunately, has left a bitter and lasting taste in my mouth and a heaviness in my heart … for such a delicate and emotional moment in our lives, this process has created more distress than necessary. Perhaps renegotiating the contracts are in order and not giving them so much power is better served for those that are paying for the serve and not those digging the grave sites … incidentally, my mom was cremated and to be honest, I could have managed to dig that whole just as well as the gentleman had. Lastly, consider a mother passing away who has 5 children … which child will you allow to the grave site? Please consider these points of reference for future consideration of other members who are already heartbroken from losing their loved on. Heartbroken!!

My family's experience with respect to my father's funeral services was definitely a 5 star result. We can never be more thankful enough to have worked with Teresa DiPalma who was in charge of the entire process of the funeral services. The location was convenient and close to the cemetery where my father was laid to rest next to my late mother. The facilities were clean and ample parking was available for the visitors. WE also used the chapel available for the mass services inside the main building We even walked to the location where my father was laid to rest. It brought out a sense of touch as it reminded me how it was done back in the old mountain top Italian villages where limousines were nowhere to be found. It was a very difficult moment to encounter but the experience made it very comfortable overall. Teresa was always available to answer questions and returned messages promptly. The casket we chose for my father was incredibly perfect for his needs as we chose recycled wood and my father was a wonderful cabinet maker. I am sure he dearly loved it as he was laid to rest. We had ample space for all visitors and we were supplied an additional rooms for refreshments for the visitors and family members as well after the burial services was complete. All I can say is thank you to the entire team of the Centre funéraire Cote-Des-Neiges Inc. for the comfortable customer experience.

My father passed away in February 2020 and Stephane was the associate that guided us during this difficult time. He was very informative, patient, kind and made sure to go out of his way to help us. He took his time with us and we did not feel rushed or pressured. The entire experience was pleasant and commendable.

My experience burying a loved one with Centre Funéraire Cote des Neiges is a good one. Most staffs I interacted to are very professional and willing to extend a helping hand even through the tiniest minor details. In the beginning, I was assigned a staff member who look like a dollar sign to me, rather than a staff who works in the business dealing with grief & sorrow stricken people. He wants me to pay the price in full when my loved ones body is still in the morgue of the hospital. He doesn’t even mention about the 50% deposit but wants the full amount right away. Isn’t it that when you go for a hair cut or a manicure & pedicure, they give you the services first before you pay them? If you encounter people like this, don’t be discouraged. All you have to do is call back the reception, tell them about it and they will assign you another one. But don’t forget to ask if the next person is nice and doesn’t look or seem like a dollar sign. Funeral services is not just about buying coffins & urns & having a place to conduct the last rite of passage of a loved one. It’s about how you gather the family members, friends and colleagues through this grieving process and help them walk comfortably to celebrate the life of their loss loved one. And this, I felt through the professional hands of the staffs I encountered in this funeral home. I would highly recommend this place with its spacious building, very well kept, clean, cosy, nice ambience, public transport accessible, has 3 levels of underground parking that we very much need specially during winter times here in Montreal.

In the difficult time of losing a loved one. Centre funeraire Cote-des-Neiges went above and beyond our expectations. Make sure to book the reception room very big and has an awesome view. See my photos but make sure to ask for the cemetery view as it was breath taking. If you are reading this my condolences to you and yours.
