Lovely English language theatre in the historic part of Montreal. The theatre is small, which makes for a more intimate theatrical experience. There is also an adjoining cafe/lounge area for patrons to visit before the show. The staff is incredibly nice and will make reasonable accommodations as well.

In the heart of old port, Centaur Offers great musicals and other shows. A must in Montreal to see local and international talents in theatre.

Classy shows with excellent production value. Old historical building adds a nice ambiance. Love the costumes and the artistry. They've been getting more political in their messages in the last few years, but not yet offensively so. Saw Paradise Lost with a Feminist twist yesterday. Was good. The bar offers a selection including coffee, hot chocolate and pop for those trying to keep awake for the later shows. They come in real glassware with a 2$ price value. Bathrooms are clean and odorless, but crampt.

Very good service. Not sure about the plays, especially for 60$/ticket. Going to give a 3rd chance.

They really went above and beyond. Strict pandemic protocols, half capacity, keeping the audience and actors safe. So glad to go to the theatre again!

Centaur Theater resides in one of the many Beaux-Arts buildings that Montreal has chosen to preserve. Built in 1903, the building originally housed the Montreal Stock Exchange and was converted into a theater in the second half of the twentieth century. The conversion of the building will ensure its preservation for a long time to come.

This was my first visit to the theatre. I've always admired the architecture from the outside. Inside is small but cozy and looks to be well maintained. The theatre was large enough but not enormous. Just right. Staff are friendly and thoroughly checks vaccine passports. I will look forward to seeing other shows there in the future.
