About Cedarbrae Childcare
Experienced Childcare
For the last 30 years, Cedarbrae Childcare has served families in southwestern Calgary. We work with the community to ensure children in the area get valuable educational opportunities. Our current owner, Christina Kang, has led Cedarbrae for the last 10 years and brings with her 15 years of childcare experience. We use our experience to fulfill the needs of the children who visit us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 18 month old nephew went to this daycare for 6 months starting when he was 1. My son goes to a different daycare where they do crafts, play games, a guy comes in once a week to sing and play guitar and they go outside and play. At this daycare, my nephew is in the basement, has never been outside, hasn't done a single craft and they leave him to play by himself. The children seem like more of an inconvenience to them. The food menu is terrible, the staff don't understand english and they don't do anything interactive with the children. I would NEVER recommend this daycare to anyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My child is getting ready to start Kindergarten. He has been with the Cedarbrae Childcare since he was an infant. Looking back I can say that the staff have always been a great support to me. They made sure my child was nurtured and safe, which gave me peace of mind but the greatest gift was that I felt he was loved. Special thank you, for Spanish lesson every week!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful staff and amazing program! I love how they try and making learning fun while still letting the children play and be children. My daughter is 6 years old and absolutely loves the daycare. Every week she tries to teach me the Spanish words she learnt from the Spanish enrichment classes she has been taking and it has been incredible to watch her grow right before my eyes. Amazing work Cedarbrae Team! Would highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughters are well taken care of and happy here. The staff know and care for all the kids. The food is made in the kitchen on site. Crafts are sent home regularly and the kids spend a good amount of time outside. No tvs or screen time here. Even though there are a lot of kids, all the staff seem to know all the kids' names, personalities and needs. My eldest daughter is almost 5 and has been attending since she turned 1. They made potty training easy. My girls come home with new things they have learned all the time! We have had no bad experiences here and I would recommend Cedarbrae Childcare to any parents!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a father you want the best for your child and I was so happy when I discovered Cedarbrae Childcare! The staff there are wonderful and they work hard to do the best they can to provide a safe hands on learning/playing environment. My child has been attending for the last 5 years and he absolutely loves daycare. They have great home cooked meals and have many programs that my son loves! Would highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son has been going to Cedarbrea daycare he started when he was about 6 months old. The daycare is incredible.
They tell you how the child’s day was everyday when you pick up your child. There is always Art and crafts projects coming home.
The daycare is always clean, Neat and a tidy. The daycare has home cooked food three times a day.
With plenty of snacks though out. My son never comes home “hangry”
He’s coming home tired because they have indoor gym and a large outdoor area. He’s now 3 1/2 years old.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely find this daycare to be wonderful! The daycare was originally recommended to me through a friend and I am so glad that they did! The staff are really friendly and really do their best to take care of the kids. I have two kids, both of them attended the daycare since they were 15 months. I have never had any trouble with the daycare and love all the programs and activities they offer for the children. My children are always super excited to go to daycare in the morning and I always have a difficult time to bring them back home because they want to stay. As a parent I feel extremely safe to bring my children there and know they are in really capable hands.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our son went to cedarbrae childcare for 6 months this year. There were small incidents during his attending but none of them was overall bad. We decided to stop sending him to this daycare for personal reasons. When we went to collect his belongs, which includes 2 bottles that we left there for him to use. We left the bottles there as we were promised that these would be cleaned/sanitized on a daily basis. However, we found mold in the straw in one of the bottles. Yes, mold in the clear straw. And it is a bottle that he uses everyday. We emailed the daycare just to tell them about this because we don’t want this to happen to other kids. We didn’t hear anything back, not even an apology.
The daycare would know who I am by reading this. We are not here to tell you to not send your kids there. My son seems having fun everyday and there are some teachers there are patient and caring. Maybe just bring your kids stuff home everyday.
