Cedar Valley Cottage Resort

Just met the owners. Nice and hard working. Big job improving the trailer park. New septic lines and hydro.Washrooms brand new. Rec hall updated. Starting to take shape. Still more updates to come. I can understand owners frustration. But don't you want your relaxation destination looking the best. Great value and worth a look. They have a vision to improve the park and that's that. We like the positive attitude and got a new site.

I was up there visiting a family member, when my nephew found a used condom near the playground. We did inform management however they seem to not take too much of interest. The lady was also really rude that we had spoken with about the matter. They're also had seem to be quite a few people that were intoxicated we're under the influence of some kind of mind altering substance. I normally don't leave reviews but however after this experience I felt it was my obligation

Recently stayed here on one of the transient sites for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lisa was a pleasure to deal with, very accommodating and helpful. The site was nice, right on the Scugog River so the kids could fish for hours. The pool was nice and clean, the washrooms were spotless and the rec hall was great as well. It is obvious that they are making major improvements to the whole park and I think it will only get better in time. We will definitely go back!

We went seasonal and lasted one year! We actually considered purchasing a “park model cottage resort” from summer hill, so glad we didn’t! The management at this park is unbelievable to say the least. We were intrigued with the construction and plans for the new sites and park layout. We read the reviews prior to our agreement and just assumed that there was a lot of hardship with past campers and chose not to listen to them, boy were we wrong! We left our site in the middle of the 2020 season having paid in full to move to greener grass! Along with several other owners. I’m sure they will tell you that all who left were “trailer trash” as we were told when we entered the park, literally from the current general manager! I wish “Cedar valley summer hill” all the best best with their future as a cottage resort, but they really need to take a close look at their general manager, and actually finish a promise instead of trying to bring in more sales! Beware and thanks for reading.

I think it's great! I bought a cottage because it has sand for my kids, a pool, docks for boating, fire pits for s'mores the best walking, biking and ATV trails, and friendly people all around! What more do you need ??

We came here last year and were not told anything about having a very short time to stay unless we upgraded to a “cottage”. This was disappointing as we now need to find a new park, that being said even over the last year the park customer service has declined majorly. The office staff is rude and will approach you to yell at you and won’t even say hello, blames other park renters for their poor work and those who have purchased cottages have (of course not all of them) been extremely unhappy. When trying to sell the “cottage” back they would have lost 60k so be sure this is what you want before committing! They have promised a beach (which they put in however it is miniature and full of leeches you certainly cannot swim there) water park and so much more, none of which has materialized and what has - was not what was promised. The docks are only now being installed and this is nearly the end of July! So no boating for people who have paid for docks already. I highly recommend against this park and company and I know many here who feel the same way. We cannot wait to leave next year, what a shame! The work being done around the park is left in a mess when the workmen leave blocking roads and causing hazards, see photos of just one example. P.S don’t ask for a phone call they will not call you back at least not once you have purchased something, until then the sales staff is nice. They just want money and provide no activities the only thing is the pool which has had now 5+ issues this year with closures etc. You also cannot even have a water in the pool!

We visited Cedar Valley this past weekend with friends and had a blast !!! The staff was very helpful and friendly , Austin is so great and very knowledgeable. The whole concept of the resort/park is very smart, affordable and modern. My good friends have a cottage right by the water with a dock and boat. There is so much to do here, we went on a boat ride, swimming, fishing, hiking etc. We can't wait to go back and do it all over again. Super fun and super relaxing. Highly recommended for everyone to see

I usually have a hard time writing reviews as most people get caught in the moment of a particular event. I have to say I have been very impressed this year with the level of service and communication for the entire team at Cedar Valley Cottage Resort! They have been very helpful and professional especially their maintenance team. We are looking forward to this year and many years after to be part of this growing community and like everything else in life, a little patience, understanding and respect will go along way to a very enjoyable time for all !! Well done team Cedar Valley Cottage Resort !!!
