I have been going to the Barrie location for many years and Dr. McLean is absolutely wonderful to receive eye care from. He is thorough in his explanations of eye health and what is best for your vision. Everyone is very polite and personable and I highly recommend this practice if you are looking for an optometrist!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would give 10 stars if I could! Absolutely fantastic! I just had my first visit and I will be switching permanently. Thorough exams with high tech equipment and digital imaging I have not experienced before. So much more than just a prescription and glasses! Dr. Krmpotic is so lovely and in addition to explaining her findings, she took the extra time to answer any questions I had. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they made the extra effort to fit me in for a same day appointment! Direct billing, huge selection of eyewear, I honestly cannot say enough good things about Cedar Pointe Optometry. Try them, you’ll love them!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dad was a Posty and the benefits said 1 pair of glasses per year. We called them Roy Orbison specials because they were the most unbreakable looking frames offered. By the time one year rolled around those frames had more tape than frame left. Then I found myself looking for my own optometrist but I brought the habit of being frugal with me. Pretty sure that one of the first questions I asked was if it would be possible to recycle the existing frames with new lenses/prescription. From 1998 until 2017 Cedar Pointe Optometry recycled the same 2 pairs of frames for me which over the course of time is a possible savings of thousands. There was repairs, but always saved for me to reuse. Warranty of lenses was also a topic because of my sweat being like Alien blood. Very acidic. It would damage the scratch coat of the lenses. It was felt that the scratch coat should have been able to tolerate human sweat and twice they were replaced. My concern was addressed and Cedar Point Optometry stood by the client and not the manufacturer. In 2017 i made the purchase of Ray Ban frames and the compressed pop bottle lenses that give sight to this aging curmudgeon. 2022 and I had to go looking for the stand by second pair and update the prescription. Unfortunately they looked like they went in the ring with Mike Tyson and could not be salvaged. My second pair of Ray Ban and I couldn't be happier. My point is that Cedar Point Optometry is an optometrists office that you can talk to, do business with and trust to act in your best interests.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After moving to Barrie looking for a new optometrist, I found Cedar Pointe Optometry. Coming into my eye exam, they were nothing short of amazing and went above and beyond answering all of my questions! Once I received my new prescription, they took the most time assisting me in picking out my new frames(so patient while I sat deciding between my two final choices). I was anticipating my new glasses taking 10-14 business days, and to my surprise I received a call 2 days later that my frames were ready for pick up!! Smoothest transaction and most delightful experience. Will recommend to anyone in the Barrie area and further.

All of the staff are incredibly welcoming and professional. i was explained thoroughly every step of the way and felt like they were truly trying to HELP me and give me the best options possible. i look forward to continuing to use Cedar Pointe Optometry for as long as i need updated eye exams and to purchase contacts.
