About Catriona Hope Photography
Prior to starting professionally, I managed a private photo studio and on weekends did family, friends, special events, community fairs, farmers market to newborn photography for moms at Pregnancy Care Centre – Edmonton.
Portraits are to be unique and beautiful in the most ordinary scenes. It is looking for stories and fresh ways to capture you, and children in one’s natural essence.
Family photo sessions can be stressful. But I assure you, they can be an absolute blast as well! I will grab one or two posed family moments and then spend most of our time capturing all of the amazing ‘in between’ and candid moments that make your family special.
All ages at some point feel shy, awkward, free spirited, fragile newborn babies to the children of unique and diverse needs. Two qualities go hand in hand—one needs to be patient enough to deal with whatever comes your way, and you need to be flexible enough to make the best of conditions.
The best thing about being a photographer is seeing my clients’ reactions when they first see their finished photos, whether that is up on the walls of their home or in a beautiful Heirloom Album.

I wasn't sure where to start as far as a "theme" or backdrop. Amongst her many great ideas, she found a sunflower field and it was PERFECT. Our family cant wait to use her for all of our portraits, without hesitation.

Her Christmas scene was real with real trees and a real fireplace! We felt like we were in a cozy Christmas cabin. Her attention to detail is amazing! The kids loved Santa! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been waiting months for a picture frame I gave her for pictures to be done. Originally it was to go to great grandparents for Christmas gift. I gave the frame in early November, 2021. That never happened. Then I asked for February, 2022. That never happened. Now the great grandparents are both in hospital and likely will not make it. I've made many attempts to contact her but have had no response.
