We couldn't have done our move if it weren't for Cathy! My husband and I are moving to Toronto and did not know much about the ins and outs of the city, so a friend referred us to Cathy by a friend. Cathy and her husband are super friendly and made our home search very enjoyable. She is also extremely knowledgeable and well-prepared and guided us smoothly along on our process. Immediately after getting in touch with her, Cathy laid out everything that would be needed in order to rent a place, so we had plenty of time to gather any necessary documents to show to the landlords. She was even familiar with what information we could provide as Americans to facilitate the process, since we did not have a Canadian credit score. We planned to visit Toronto for a week to visit open homes and look for a unit to rent. For a month beforehand, Cathy sent us listings that matched our preferences. As we sorted through these and provided her with feedback on the different properties, she gave us information about the different quirks of each property and their locations. As the week of our visit approached, Cathy lined up 8 showings for us on the first day based on all the previous feedback we had given her regarding the listings. That day, she and her husband spent several hours driving us around to all of the showings and providing us with information on them all. We ended up being very interested in one particular unit, and Cathy made sure look into the history of the unit to make sure that nothing was amiss. Then, she helped us line up another day of showings based on the results from that first day. We only saw 3 units on this second day, and one was a very high contender, but we ended up going with our favorite unit from the first day. Because we were so prepared with all of our documents, we moved into the offer stage and was able to get everything finalized after another 2 days. She even helped us review our contract and flag and change anything overly-excessive. All in all, everything happened very smoothly, and we are super excited to move into our new home!

I am so happy to have Cathy as my agent when I start to look for a condo for my daughter. Cathy speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwan dialect. She is very professional and knew I am from out of town and she make good suggestions once I told her size, price range and need to close to U of T. On each showing she checks the building surrounding area, to see if it’s fits for student, safe for walking, grocery shopping close by and if building has Airbnb that could cause for concern. We were not able to find a good one when I was there for one week. Then in the subsequent months she would go for potentially units herself and FaceTime me what she saw and make suggestions if it is good one to buy or not. She never pushes for sale and let me make final decisions. Cathy is an excellent negotiator, when I was ready for an offer, she was able to use good comparable sales and persuade seller agent to reduce price. When it comes to closing, she and her husband Song will go extra miles and ensure the unit is cleaned and all deficiencies are being taken care of and fixed. She is such a trusted adviser and our condo closed without me going there. I would not want anybody else when next time I look for another purchase or selling this place.
