First time I came to Spanish restaurant. Vintage interior and nice atmosphere. Attentive chef and good service. Bit pricey than average place. Humble portion, but make sense~ it is tapas. Paella was too smelly for me, but seefood were tender. Duck and sangria were okay. It was intresting experience, but it's not my type of food or restaurant. I would give a chance to try Spanish cusine somewhere else.

Complicated menu but simple to try various tapas by choosing a combo for two. Price is high but food is fresh and exceptional. We choose the Malaga combo $98 for two. Ample portions even as a tapas but would have liked less chorizo and fried calamari and more of the succulent grilled angus beef tenderloin, and of course, more of the house style paella. Excellent, delicious paella but just a bit too salty. Don carlos crab cake was really crispy, bit of heat from the red chilli pepper, fresh not fishy taste and perfect with the alioli sauce which provided a bit of a zing. Served with fresh warm bread with whipped butter, crispy fried calamari was not greasy, sauteed chorizo with onions and seafood medley wih mussels. All paired with 1/2L $28 2015 New Zealand chardonnay. Service was attentive, friendly and hospitable. We left very satisfied and took home the chorizo and calamari and devoured everything else.

The atmosphere is not very good, as the place is very dark and not too cozy. A lot of food experiences are valued by the environment so this is an area they must improve on. The food quality is very good, we ordered a variety of tapas/appetizers and it was delicious, however, I must say that it is extremely expensive, the meal ended up being more than going to an upscale steak dinner restaurant.

If you like racism this place might be for you! More on that in a Mo! We came for dinner the place was empty. The servers were very helpful and we ordered our food. Food came pretty quick and was very tasty! We decided we would definitely be back! But then... Since we had arrived a few more tables had filled up. None had reservations. As we sat right by the greeting area we were privy to the conversations. Next a youngish black lady came in. She appeared quite respectable and was greeted by a server. There was some irrelevant conversation then the owner rushed over and told her sorry reservation only, gave her a business card and sent her off!!! After another 5mins a white guy came in and was seated no issue and no reservation!! I though we were past this sort of stuff... apparently not! Obviously we shall never return here...

The owner of the restaurant was very offensive, he says that people from the Dominican Republic, Greece and other countries are ""disgusting"" dirty etc. For my part and my family we will make this known at all levels that we can, TV, social networks, etc. things like these we can never allow to happen. . I would like to point out ,his wife is very professional, polite and kind person.

Very disappointing. Where to start??? We ordered the set menu (tapas) for two $100 along with an extra tapas (appetizer). They did not bring us any water. They did not bring any bread. Our extra tapas (appetizer), they brought at the end of the meal with the bread because they forgot about it. They forgot one of the tapas, until I mentioned it and they did not bring the right dessert. We asked for salt and pepper because the meal was bland. The pepper came in the plastic bottle that you pick up in the grocery store. Not classy. We also received someone else's bill. Poor service. The dinner for two is only enough for one person. Needless to say we both went home hungry.

The prices are ridiculously high. We ordered a Spanish tortilla which is a staple and main dish in Spain. We looked at it and almost laughed. It was a flat bland egg pancake with sliced potatoes on top. Unbelievable for a Spanish restaurant!! We ordered a paella for one person ($60) and could barely find the rice, good amount of seafood but it didn’t taste very good. The food was so disappointing..never again

This place is super outdated in many ways- decor and food stand out the most. Decor looks like it hasn't been moved, replaced, reupholstered, or cleaned in the 25+ years they've been open. Ordered a small tapa style paella, and noticed the old and off tasting mussels in my paella. I took a bite but had to spit it out. Took a while to get the attention of the server who finally passed by. Asked for the bill right after, and it included the food I sent back right away... had to ask them to adjust it. No explanation, apology, or trying to make my experience better.. Long story short, I'd rather check out any other restaurant in the world than come back.. how this place has been open this long boggles my mind. Really bad experience overall. Two thumbs down. ??
