★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've visited many times. The store has a really eclectic stock of items for sale, from clothing to hand-made cribbage boards and bird feeders. Curiosities abound. There are plenty of home made goods. It's a great place to use for a destination on a drive out to the country. We very much recommend that you visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I need to take my wife to Carvel and stop at the Carvel General Store. I think it might just be a place of unexpected treasures. Rumour has it they have handmade crib boards, Canada made sweaters, manitobah mukluks and drinking socks whatever a drinking sock is. Apparently a mother and daughter have managed to get along running a business together for 17 years. 17 years is a long time for any business. To survive that long, it would seem to imply owners have taste. This summer the wife will have to stop by and check it out.
