Best Campground in Canada

D	Duane Nelson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While it's a long drive from Toronto, I really liked the beach near this campground, and the friendliness of the staff and visitors. It is definitely more oriented towards campers than tents, as there seem to be a lot of permanently parked trailers there. If you are somebody using your tent, as I was, you'll want to pick sites closer to the back so you have a few trees. This is not like camping out in the forest, so be sure you know what you are getting. The washrooms were clean. The showers were in good shape (bring some loonies, as they seem to be short on change). The outdoor pool was colder than the lake though even after a hot spell in August. The noise level after hours was reasonable. We had 5 young children amongst our group, and other than the odd distant firework going off between 11-12, and an accidental car alarm, the site was very quiet throughout the night until about 8 AM when our kids were probably waking up others. :) Anecdotally, I heard some folks were kicked out the previous weekend for making a racket after hours. There was a good playground and a fun Hallowe'en event where people gave out candy (even to us unprepared, uncostumed freeloaders). I would return to this place with friends/family interested in drive in camping. If you want wilderness camping, you may want to consider a provincial park.
R	Robert Hobden on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Campground just a short walk from Ipper wash Beach. This will be our sixth year at the campground. Carolinian Forest has a really nice community of campers. We all enjoy the peace and quiet that goes along with this Campground. Almost every one of the campsites is surrounded by tall mature trees. Only a short drive to groceries or gas station. Ipperwash Beach Club restaurant is just down the road if you're looking for some good pub food.

The camp is very clean and the washrooms are very clean. We had no issues with anyone bothering us about anything . When we arrived there was no one at the office but they have a place right near the gate and they came immediately when we got there . This is the only time that we saw them, however we were told if we needed anything to just go to there place. It is a quiet campground but we found everyone to be very friendly. The walk to the beach is about 15 minutes but it's a nice walk. I would recommend this camp!

I had the opportunity to meet the owners during my stay and I can't say enough good things about them. All of the accommodations were very clean and well kept. The owners have been working hard at upgrading some of their facilities and they look great! I would recommend this place to anyone!

The owners, Tyler and Heather are amazing. Very patient and helpful with newbies like ourselves. We have never met so many wonderful people as the other campers here. To top it all off this campground is beautiful. The sites are spacious with so many beautiful trees. The campers really take care of their lots, the pride is evident. We highly recommend this park

It is a family- owned campground and the owners share their enthusiasm for the camping lifestyle with all of the residents at the park ! The park is very well maintained and the lots are generous! Ian and I have enjoyed more than a decade of summers at the Carolinian Forest campground and truly believe it is the best park In Southern Ontario. This is our home away from home!
