They promise you the world like a shady salesman, then offer the minimum possible and if you question them, Paula Valente will just get very upset and raise her voice in anger to control the situation.
It was quite disturbing dealing with this office and representative.
So far many other employers say they had the same kind of experience and now deal with the Georgian College.
Save yourself head aches and time wasting, their files you have to sign off on don't even open, which extends your yimeline by weeks because of how poorly things are ran.
On top of everything, they don't even find employees to offer, they just blame covid like students are able to get the CRB money, but it sounds more like they just don't do their jobs. I've had students approach me for work, maybe it's them...
But at the end of the year, the office will have lots of spare tax dollars to spend, since they don't have students to offer, they won't have to pay out the grant money they received as intended and that money now gets consumed as office spending...
Save yourself alot of head aches, go to Georgian College.
