★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We held our Engagement Party at The Capitol on 6/17, and we received SO MANY compliments about what a great venue we chose. Many people though it was basically a wedding, because everything was that nice. We had about 100 guests, and the space could have easily fit another 50 or so comfortably. The lighting and decor combined with the venue historical interior makes for a beautiful and unique setting.
If you want a beautiful, 'outside the box', unique venue, then I urge you to hold your event here because nothing comes close in terms of accommodation, friendliness and overall value in the Toronto midtown area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked our wedding very last minute but it all worked out. We were accommodated and given excellent service by The Capitol Event Theatre team. Whenever I called, I either spoke to someone right away or received a call back within 30 minutes!
The wait staff were awesome - very attentive to our needs and everyone enjoyed themselves. I never had an empty glass and never had to ask for anything because they “just knew”. The food was great - Everyone raved. The prices were reasonable for everything we got. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely beautiful, classy and top of the line for a wedding venue. I attended a wedding there and it was one of the most elegant weddings I've ever been to.
The food was great, the organization was smooth, and the service was seamless.
I can't say enough but I'm sure the couple and their families had the wedding of their dreams : )

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ attended a wedding here. great space (upper lounge and lower dining/dance floor. the customizable theatre style sign at the entrance is a cute touch. food was good, sound system was not bad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came with my sister to Back to Prom event organised by Blythwood School. Passed hors d'oeuvres were fantastic.The staff were very friendly and drinks were fairly priced. Perfect midtown location, easy to find parking. Beautiful venue!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Capitol Event Theatre is a beautiful space for live events! My husband and I attended presentation organised by U of T astronomy department on March 23, 2018. The quality of the sound was incredible. We had a very good time!
