We initially really liked Cantine Emilia but unfortunately It seems like the quality gets worst and worst. We have ordered perhaps 5-6 times and each time the food seems less and less fresh. I believe this will be the last time we order as me and my partner are both sick after ordering a chicken salad.

An amazing place! The food is delicious out of this world. My partner and I randomly stopped here when we noticed we were hungry and what a wonderful surprise it was for our palettes. the concept is a delight. They even have pastel de natas! Yum! The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because the cashier made no effort to speak English. Which just isn’t cool. Blah blah Quebec and all, I’m completely bilingual. I just think if you’re going to have a cashier who isn’t they could at least put an effort in to understand the menu in both languages to facilitate your costumers, or even tourists. The food made up for it though! Aha

Went today asked for a whole chicken French fries special PLUS a chicken sandwich and requested strictly only chicken breast meat in the sandwich. What a mega disappointment. There was nothing of a whole chicken parts AND the sandwich was NO breast meat. The french fries looked triple-fried. PLUS the cook in the back had an attitude issue. Not recommenced.

I have been wanting to try Cantine Emilia for months now and I finally did a week ago. It’s a new favorite for sure! The portions were good, the chicken was delicious and so is the hot sauce. The fries are so good and the salad was fresh. Highly recommend, it’s some of the best Portuguese chicken I’ve had. A+!

Portuguese Chicken/Chorizo Sandwich, Crispy Fries, Mixed Salad . As you can tell I love Portuguese Chicken haha. When it's done well it's the best way I'd say that I like to eat this amazing produce. Personally, something cooking on the open fire, rotating above, like back in medival times really excites me. It cooks nice and slow and allows the flavours to really develop. . At Cantine Emilia they have some amazing prepared meats and choices for you to choose from. There chorizo is amazing, the marinated pork chop is stealer and even the chicken on its own is juicy, flavourfull and nicely chard. But obviously the star move is putting all this in a sandwich and eating everything at once ?. . The combination of the meats are so good together. You get the best of both world from the pork and chicken that are so widely used in Portuguese cooking. The homemade mayo and red sauce is amazing to accompany the sandwich with giving it the kick it needs. Served with crispy fries and a salad, what more can a guy ask for?! ? . Check them out, get some delicious marinated meats and have a great meal. Also check out there custom made pasteis de nata, there traditional but with a fun twist!

IL be honest.. IL give it 2 stars.. for the food.. but for the price of the food and to be a regular customer that goes and buys a salad.. at 17 dollars a day and tips... iv never felt so ripped off to buy 2 salads at 44 dollars.. basically 50 dollars for 2 salads? I honestly never felt so ripped off in my life. I truly hope people realize this is an ordinary salad yes its good but u have to bee stupid to pay that price.. sad to say but ul never be seeing me again.

Very disappointed. I had the chicken leg but not sure what part of the chicken it actually was... Looked like I got what remained after they did my partner's chicken sandwich. There was very little meat on the thing :-( Sauce, and fries were OK / average. Salad was a bit sad. Fries portion was generous but I felt like the meal was 85% fries and 15% chicken. Would not go back.

Was excited to find a new place, that's where all ended. Food quality: 3/5, I love salt but it was too much, lots of spice rubbed outside but chicken was dry inside, wasn't feeling good 10 mins after eating. Price: 1/5, whole chicken and 2 sides of fries for 43$ (takeout), would be okay if was mouth-watering delicious or decent taste with generous portion.
