★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cantina Mercatto has a nice decor and ambiance. Their patio is at a nice spot on Wellington, not too noisy. Not the most inventive menu, but the food is good. The beef tartare was delish. I was surprised they only had two gins available, and neither of them were Hendricks. I know, kind of specific, but it’s a standard/classic bar item. They didn’t have my reservation either but were able to seat me anyway. Nice service; very attentive and easy going. I’d definitely return for a drink and a snack.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great dinner - ordered the "FRIDAY | HOUSE GROUND SHORT RIB & BRISKET Burger" and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, really fresh ingredients and packed with flavour. Would have given the dinner 5 stars but the fries were not crispy enough for my liking. Service was friendly and attentive. Great decor and atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The atmosphere is laid back and intimate, which i love. The food was absolutely delish! Would have appreciated the entrées to be of a slightly bigger portion however, food was nice and rich. Would defo recommend. Family friendly too, not too sure if there are family washrooms

Pictured here is the kale & beets & the calamari. The beets were great & flavourful but the calamari portion was a bit on the lighter side. It did taste different than your avg calamari which was nice (not as dee fried).
As a main, we got the mushroom risotto & it was a great portion & taste.
We will definitely come back but just not get the calamari.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I give it 3/5 because the service was great. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. They asked how our food was, refilled waters promptly and food came out in a timely manner.
You know…the basics.
Food on the other hand was more a 2/5 because everything was quite bland. It was definitely under seasoned and the pizza dough was a little undercooked.
Other than the extensive wine list, I prob won’t return here for a while.
