Got a great deal with Cannet to start. 44.95$ a month for 300/20 late 2019. Was very good. I can understand that the pandemic put alot of stress on networks but I couldn't stream 720p videos. I called and asked for assistance and they said they weren't even throttling bandwidth for certain things. In 2020 they had higher speeds in my area. So I went on their site and changed my package to 1gbps/30mbps for 10$ more a month. Website clearly stated that a speed increase to that speed would cost 10$. Two days go by, a gentleman calls saying oh wait it's going to be 25$ more a month and a one time service charge of 60$. So that made me pretty bitter. Then during the summer of this year I just had enough of the throttling. I switched to Fido and have been able to 4k videos and game flawlessly right from the second it was hooked up. Clearly a Cannet issue.

I gave them 5 stars a few months ago and turns out it was a mistake. Recently I realized that they throttle Youtube and some other streaming services between 6 PM and 12 AM daily, which makes it impossible to stream higher resolution video from Youtube. I have been keeping my eye on it and testing it for a while now and it has not changed. If you use speedtest.net to test the overall speed, you'll always get full speed. However If you turn on Youtube connection speed indicator on a 1080p/60 or higher resolution video you're playing, you will notice starting 6 PM sharp, the speed will drop from full speed to around 2.4Mbps and stay this way until 12 am. The only way to get around this is to use a VPN. I opened a ticket a while back, a guy who claimed that he was their senior support told me that it'd be fixed on Jan 27th after an upgrade at their backend, however this has never happened. I called them a few times to follow up and every time they said they would call me back. They did call me back initially but now the don't even bother calling back at all. Ironically, their website clearly states they don't throttle any network traffics. Such a LYING freak! If you care about fast video streaming, or simply prefer dealing with an ethical business, definitely stay away from them.

Do not advise this company there customer service is bunch of monkies roaming around, they will just waste your time with set rules of troubleshoot, i was with no internet at all for more than 20 days and keep disconnecting there senior technical team call me to resolve the issue after almost 1.5 months i already switch to another company and the line was disconnected..... Even first installation is a hassle to install. Dont recommend to anyone

Do not use these guys ... Initially I was happy with it till I started having issues. They throttle the internet, so if you stream TV he will have problems. Their customer service is ridiculous, they keep wanting you to reboot modem. Switch back to Rogers and haven't had any issues.

Worst internet service. We were impressed by their price so we installed their connection. It worked for two months and it started to constantly drop off. We complained many times, they made lame excuses that change your router etc and they fixed the issue. Again after four months the issue has started. It has gone to the point that its been a week since we have constant dropoffs and the internet is not there for hours. We have called them hundred times. First they said that the router is not working and we did as they said. We installed a good router but the problems is still there.

Absolutely horrible service. Spent 3 days trying to get a hold of them. They’d answer then hang up on me. Once I got a hold of them 4 days later, they informed me that I was too far for them to install it (I’m an hour and a half from their place in Markham). So after paying for the service, paying for the modem and paying for installation, they told me that I wasn’t able to get internet. On top of all that, I proceeded to cancel my plan and still had to pay a fee for no usage and ship back the modem at my own cost. Do not recommend

This is my first time ordering my internet package online. At first, I did not have too much expectation about that. But after I received my order, the installation was straightforward, and the speed was fast. So I think they desire a 5-star review.

Same experience as many others. BUYER BEWARE. Possible business model is to to: 1) get you signed up, send you their property (modem and router) 2) provide very poor service (I personally experienced consistent, heavy, packet loss between 5pm and 10 pm). Was always the same time and always the same strength - every day. 3) Try to solve problem by sending you more equipment. - Perform gross incompetence in technical support (my personal opinion) 4) Customer terminates service because the technical problem they are experiencing is not being solved by the company 5) Company sends previous customer to a collection agency saying they did not return there property. This happens after considerable time has passed and high likelihood the customer has not retained tracking number of postage. 6) The modems and routers they send are very low cost if the individual were to buy them. However, Cannet price marks up the value of their budget property greatly to make a very nice profit once collection agency is successful. All theoretical and impossible to prove as a customer, but it would explain my current situation
