Ryan made the effort to come and assess Blackie and his training needs in his home environment about 3 months ago. This is his standard practice. With a single session, Ryan gave me the tools I needed to get my dog over his distrust of other dogs. We adopted him from the streets in Cuba and he would pull at the leash and growl whenever a dog entered his visual field no matter how it was. It's been a long road, but now I'm happy to report that I am able to walk with him past other dogs on the same path with only the mildest arousal of interest. He has also started to meet other dogs. With Ryan's training methods I am confident that when the time is right, I will be able to let him off leash to interact with other dogs. Thanks Ryan!

I had my first session with Ryan this week. I have a 6 month Cane Corso and not only was I using the collar wrong but also feeding him a very high protein diet. Ryan goes above and beyond he’s not your everyday dog trainer. Highly recommend! Ryan is a fantastic dog trainer. He has an understanding of animal behaviour and what best works for your pup, based on the breed, need, and character traits. We were skeptical of hiring a dog trainer because of all of the gimicky ones out there, but this was worth every penny! He helped us just one time and it made a world of difference!

THANK YOU, Ryan! :) I waited some time before writing my review because I wanted to be able to testify on the results of Ryan's session with my dog as well, not only give you the first impression about the person. First of all, Ryan's awesome - his knowledge, the loads of information he's sharing, the insight ... I found out things about dogs I wouldn't have dreamed about, and it helped me get a deeper understanding of how my (a) dog's mind and emotions work, as crazy as it might sound. And now, three weeks into practicing what Ryan taught and showed me, I can see the results. For context, Oscar's been attacked quite a few times - each time unprovoked and totally out of the blue. Of course the result of that was a very reactive, defensive dog, very easily switching to pure aggression towards other dogs. Walks were terribly stressful for both of us most of the time, plus he's quite strong so holding him when there was another dog around was tough. Now we just came back from a long walk and I am happy to say we were on the same path in the park with another dog, with less than two meters apart, and Oscar didn't even growl. Yes we stopped and waited but he was waiting by my side, half watching, and he was barely a bit tense. Three weeks ago he would have ripped my arms off my shoulders in an effort to get to the dog. So if you resonate with any of those struggles, and if you want to enjoy again walking with your dog, give Ryan a call. It's a process, it's not happening overnight, it's not easy, but it's so worth it! We still have a long way to go, and maybe Oscar will never go back to his carefree, playful, extremely sociable with other dogs self, but there's no question about there being an improvement or not.

We read books, watched videos, bought online training programs and nothing seemed to work. We were feeling quite desperate when we called Ryan, and even after our short phone call to set up the meeting, I already felt more hopeful. Ryan spent 1 ½ hours with us and we decided to jump in 100% with everything he suggested. Within a day, we had a completely changed dog. Ryan explained things in an easy-to-follow format, gave us a few key things to work on, and helped re-shape our old-school ideas about dominance and control. We have enjoyed Piper so much since our meeting with Ryan, and unequivocally recommend him.

Ryan is by far the best thing that happened to us since getting our puppy! He came to our house and taught us everything we need to know about raising a good puppy. We had a training session with Ryan today and it was fantastic. He spent an hour an a half discussing and explaining what types of training we can do to correct our dogs behaviour. We asked Ryan many questions and he also provided many resources. We went on a walk and practiced loose leash walking, we practiced basic recall training and also how to gently "herd" our dog away when he is being over protective. It was very useful seeing the proper techniques for these types of training. While Ryan was showing us techniques to train our dog, he was very resourceful and helped us understand our dogs behaviour. The way he explained things was very effective and easy to understand. We liked the fact that he wasn't trying to sell us on useless products and that he wasn't telling us how we need to book many sessions with him to get results. He was straight forward and honest. Ryan was very professional and a pleasure to have at our home. We will absolutely use his services again in the future with any of our dog training needs.
