About Canine Kingdom

Sleepovers

For most dog owners, the prospect of leaving their dogs home alone all night is too terrible to even contemplate! For those inevitable occasions when you need to go away, you can rest assured that your dog is well loved and cared for with our sleepovers service. Our sleepovers are structured to ensure that your dog is happy, comfortable and as stress-free as possible during your absence. Also, all of our sleepover clients get to spend the day time with their day care friends and get plenty of one-on-one time with our experienced staff. We offer various packages to cater for the basic pets’ needs and also for their specialized needs (puppies and seniors). Then to top it all off, we offer a premium stay package!

Our difference - we are an open concept facility that caters mainly to social pets. Pets visiting our facility have a routine and a major part of it is being part of fully supervised playgroups. The cost of being part of our playgroups is included in our sleepover rates unlike other facilities that charge additional fees for your pets participation in play groups.

Feeding - While your dog will be fed separately in an environment where he/she can eat in peace, changing your dog’s diet can sometimes be stressful – especially in the context of a change of environment and company. For this reason, we require you to supply your pet’s usual food for the duration of the sleepover period, we would be more than happy to purchase the same brand of food should your pet run out of food while in our care. Please mark your food container clearly, with your pet’s name and special feeding instructions (if any). Please also advise us of any allergies your dog may suffer from. We offer hand-feeding as a much more personalized service to make your pets experience richer, and there is no extra cost for that.

Teddy loves his visits to a Canine Kingdom. They have always been very flexible with us when we have had to change his scheduled visits. And they are the only ones that have had success trimming his nails so they definitely have the magic touch!

My fur-son has been going to Canine Kingdom for about a year now and always comes back home content and tired. His tail is always wagging when we drop him off. Staff are very friendly. Convenient pick up and drop off with even more convenient times, especially if you are a healthcare worker who does shift work.

I was worried about finding a daycare for my dog because he has some anxiety + separation issues. After the first day, I knew it was the right choice. Bodhi LOVES coming to Canine Kingdom. When I pull up to call to let the staff know we're here, Bodhi whines with excitement - he just wants to get out of the car and into daycare, haha. He's always exhausted for the rest of the night so he must be playing his little heart out. Knowing he's in a safe space with staff who very obviously love dogs is so nice. Sadly we are moving + will have to find a different daycare closer to our new home, and I'm pretty certain nothing will compare to this one. The Instagram photos are amazing (!!!) - also, highly recommend just watching dogs come out and spotting their owner. It's hilarious and adorable.

Our pup loves Canine Kingdom! Staff are amazing, drop off and pick up are easy. I appreciate the flexibility of casual daycare and not having to commit to a certain number of days or hours.

Be careful! They will asked you to do whole day assessment again if you don't go there over 30 days, even your dog have already been there over 1 year ( We already spent $857 from Nov 2020 to Feb 2022.) and even you can't fit 30 days requirement because they are fully booked. That's all your fault. You need to do assessment again to get the right to make an reservation. If you question them with a question voice, they will terminate your service. But luckily, we have a lot of dog day cares with good reviews in Edmonton. They offer free assessment or half day assessment ($20) and also no reassessment policy. If you are very busy like us, I really suggest you try the other dog day care. They will keep telling you the other facilities doing the same thing. But I realized it's not true after I got more information about the other dog day care from my friends. Here is our experience. We want to book boarding for May long weekend. But they said we need to pass the assessment ( $35) again then have right to book boarding for May long weekend. I asked if she can keep the space for me because it's long weekend it's easy to fully booked. She said " unfortunately, your dog need to pass the assessment first then you have right to book. Because it's over 30 days to come here so we need to do reassessment." I told her I tried to book the end of March but it's fully booked. So I ask if I can bring my dog for assessment this week. She said " unfortunately, not this week. " I said I really feel you just want to earn money from us. She explained it's police to help everyone play safe. I asked when She said "July" I was mad and raised up my voice " what are you talking about? " I want to make appointment for May, you want me to do assessment in July!" She said I can put you next Wednesday. But it doesn't work for us. Then I only can gave up. I didn't yell at her to ask for the other day for assessment. Actually, I almost cried for so frustrating process to make an reservation. It's just a dog day care not applying a university program for my dog. They sent me an email to terminate service because I raised up my voice to question them. I deeply appreciate that. Because it made me to find the other dog day care which is willing to let me book assessment and boarding for long weekend at same time. I found most dog day care doesn't need to pay whole day assessment fee.

I have been taking my pug here for daycare since he was old enough to attend ! He gets so excited to jump in the car every single day and cries of excitement when we pull up to Canine Kingdom. I am so grateful for the peace of mind I have about his well being while I am at work or running errands. He's also been for several sleepovers and it has been a wonderful experience each time. The snapchat & instagram are also a wonderful feature - I have so many amazing photos of my fur baby! I am so grateful for Canine Kingdom :)

Whenever we visit family in Edmonton, we bring our dog here. Amazing staff. But most importantly Kenai loves it and is always tired at the end of the day. Just like we tell Kenai, it’s like family, a family of many different types of dogs who seem to love each other! Many thanks to all at Canine Kingdom. We will see you in a few months when we return. Stay safe.
