Candu Millwork does great work and are very easy to work with! They also respond in a timely manner whenever you have any questions or concerns about your project. They built my kitchen and discussed what products and materials they were using so I knew I was getting the quality I wanted. Kitchen looks great and functions better than ever!

This is the best company around for residential needs and commercial. Never had an issue with them very efficient. The quality workmanship organization is 11/10.

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MY RECENT REPLY TO THE RESPONSE FROM CANDU WHICH IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE AND VERY DISTASTEFUL. Original review posted 2017 sometime.... Our experience with Candu Millwork has been awful. We have a laundry room that has been walked out on. Candu was paid in full to complete a job with us that they have not done. They were hired by our contractor. Apparently they are mad at our contractor for reasons that have nothing to do with us. They walked off of our job to prove a point to the contractor. Our kick plates are falling out. There is a huge chip in one of our cupboards due to the quality of material. When I asked Candu to honour their warranty, they said, "we didn't do it, why would we fix it?". Never hire them to do work on your home. They have said they were going to help us and then they stopped. This happened repeatedly. October, 2018 I just noticed Mat's reply to my post. I have asked 5 times in the last 2 months to simply get the colour of paint for our cupboards. Candu say they 'stand behind their products'. Are you telling me that I cannot get the colour of my cupboards to fix nicks in them? That is not standing behind your product. Ridgeway did a lot of things but they did not drop a tool on our cupboard. You can see the picture. I will also post the pictures of our laundry room and pics of our chips in our cupboards. I didn't know that these cupboards only last a year or two for chips. I also don't know why Candu cannot give me my colour. We just want to fix it ourselves after this very stressful experience that had nothing to do with us. We have eaten the unfinished job that Candu did (Nothing to do with Ridgeway). During the course of the poor conduct on Ridgeways part, Mat would phone me when he should have talked to Carm. He stopped the work on our house, according to him, because Carm called him names regarding another house. Our house was not finished as a result of nothing that had anything to do with us. It was an emotional fight between Mat and Carm. I know this because Mat told me all about it. I also have the texts from Mat to prove it. Mat, if you want to go to court over this, I guess that's an option, however, we have really had enough of this awful experience. I've let a lot go but your response is an outright lie. Very distasteful. Also, if you are so upright and honest and did nothing wrong, why can I not get a simple paint colour from you? Do you not give this information out to clients or sub clients?

Dear Consumers, I have reviewed Candu to inform the public of their conduct with us. Today, after I have asked Candu many times to just provide the colour of the white so we can fix some nicks etc, Matt, from Candu, wrote some emails to my husband. Please keep in mind that Candu was a subcontractor who got us personally involved with their work at our house. Candu built custom cabinets for us (through a GC - yes that's true) and told me a few times that they had to be painted at their company. This job is 2 years old. For the past 2 years I have asked, begged and been angry that Matt and Candu does not respond to a simple request for the colour. I don't know if Matt understands that this is 2018 but he sent an email to my husband telling him to get me under control? But...he did not send the colour. He informed my husband (see pictures) that he does not have the colour. Now I'm not a tax person but I know you have to keep your invoices for 6 years of purchases. Candu must have purchased the paint they used to paint our cabinets. Today Matt told my husband he doesn't have it and we should ask the GC. The GC has moved on to other things. Either way, when a company says they stand behind their work but won't give a client any info if they didn't hire them directly, it's quite a surprise. Also, being that these are custom cabinets painted at Candu, does it make sense that they don't have the colour paint recorded? See for yourself. I've also included pictures of our laundry room. Candu was paid for their work. There were some problems which we asked Candu to fix at our expense. We never received the instalment of handles or kick plates. We have tried to hire people to finish the job but nobody wants it because they cannot identically match the cabinet style and colour. We will most likely have to redo this entire job. Matt threatened my husband today to take me to court. I would just like to say that this all became public over a request for a colour. Matt, if you don't have the purchase order for this colour are you running a legal business? Please see Matt's response about our unfinished job. Candu was contracted to install the cabinets which included kick plates. I guess the incomplete work speaks for itself. Yes, we will get the laundry room painted when it's finished. We will also get counters, again, when it is corrected and finished. Consumers, judge for yourself. You are welcome to come by anytime and see this. If google would allow, I would post all of the texts sent to us by Candu telling us that because they had a problem with our contractor on another job, they weren't going to finish our job. Basically, they violated us to prove a point to the GC we hired. It worked. I hope we go to court so justice can be served. By the way, consumers, Matt's last name is Drouillard. You can see the reviews that he has are mostly from family. Sandra is the person who designed our laundry room while working for GC and dating Matt's son. There you have it. A few more facts. See photos of nicks in cabinets. We are just trying to colour match the cabinets. We didn't know that the quality was less than 2 years. These are kitchen cupboards. It's a shame that Candu emailed us that the colour was, and I quote, "Benjamin Moore Fa Que" ? Wow.
