We recently did a master bathroom reno. We hired a contractor to do the heavy work, drywall repair, tiling etc. and a plumber to move plumbing etc. The light work, baseboards, painting etc. I did myself. We knew we were going to get a new countertop and sinks but didnt know what to do about the vanity itself. Our old vanity was 7' long with 2 sinks, a double door cupboard below each sink and 4 drawers in the middle. There was nothing wrong with our old vanity, we just wanted to update/refresh. I called a few refinishing places that would come in and paint them. One place quoted me approx $1000 and claimed their product was better than paint and came with a 2 year warranty. First let me say that Cabinet Refacing To Go is not a call centre in Timbuktu, its an actual bricks and mortar store with employees that know their business and help you along the way. My first call to them, I gave some rough dimensions and quantity of doors/drawers and hung up with a rough quote of $1000 to do it myself and $2000 for them to come in and do it. No salesperson in my home pressuring to sign here... We chose a stain colour and door/drawer style and gave exact dimensions. If you ask for 19 11/16" you get 19 11/16". Solid maple. Nicely finished ready to install. They send you videos to watch to walk you through the veneer process and putting on the new drawer fronts and doors. You get more than enough real wood veneer to re veneer all the edges of your cabinets, I opted for the 1/4" thick panel to recover the kick plate. You have to be able to use a measuring tape, drill and screwdriver to do the job. You reuse your drawers, unscrew your old drawer fronts and attach your new drawer fronts. I didnt really take a before and after picture but you can see the last old drawer front in the one picture. If you didnt know, you would never know the vanity isnt new and actually 15 years old. We will use Cabinet Refacing To Go when we redo our kitchen summer 2021. Total price was $952 plus tax. Plus contact cement ($12) and new knobs ($60) from big box store. 10/10 experience, would definitely recommend.
