★ ★ ★ ★ ★ what a delightful surprise in Cranbrook. Very fresh vegetables, well prepared meals with just enough spice to keep us gringos interested. Price was reasonable, and the service from a mom and pop type was just excellent. Location is a bit hidden and the interior is very comfortable and clean. I will go there whenever I visit Cranbrook.

Real Mexican dishes, good portions. They carry El Salvador items like pupusas (which are great, also).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I discovered Cancun when I started traveling through Cranbrook for work a couple of times every month in July 2020. I have made it a point of going back at least a couple of times a month. Food is excellent! Very fresh tasting and I have tried several of the dishes on the menu. My favorite is the chicken chimichanga. Service has always been with a smile and I just can't say enough good things about the restaurant. Menu pricing is very reasonable and portions are large. Will definitely stop here when I'm in Cranbrook next!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best and most authentic Mexican food in Canada that I know of!!! Extremely good flavor! Also really good drinks. Try the Horchata drink, super delicious! Friendly Spanish speaking staff. Sure worth going there. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic Mexican!? Frozen vegetable medley in the fajita? Canned tomato soup as tortilla soup? Slow service and generally felt ignored. Not an onion to be detected, completely void of bell peppers, absolutely no cumin, couldn't find a chili if you tried... bland. Overall, a fail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant was really highly spoken of. As we were traveling through town we decided to drop in and see what all the hype was about.
We love authentic Mexican cuisine but this was just okay.
Some items were bland and others were uncomfortably spicy. I love spicy. Chicken tasted like it was boiled and then spices were added after the fact. Rice was white long grain rice with frozen peas and carrots in it.
I wasn't upset or disgusted but I wouldn't travel to come back. Parts of the meal were microwaved and plates came out so hot it burnt to touch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff were very nice, but the wait was long, I guess it was just that day. My friends enjoyed the food. The food was cold when they served it but it was obvious they used fresh ingredients and made everything in house. Very kind staff.
