B	Brian Speck on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff were most friendly, with everyone we encountered during our one night stay. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a suite. Thanks for that. ? We were attending a wedding at the Pine & Pond venue and booked at Canalta as we were led to believe that the venue was close to Ponoka. Imagine our surprise when we discovered that it was a 25 minute drive ? Anyways, check-in went well and the hotel is attached to A&W. There was a free breakfast with our stay. We saw in the elevator that they offered made-to-order omelettes, alas, not every day. Our stay coincided with not one of the days. Our suite was most spacious and inviting. My one big complaint, was the the door for the bathroom swung inwards. Which prevented more than one person from being in the bathroom. Plus the shower curtain rail was convex from the tub and it didn't allow the door to be fully opened.

I was offered a less desirable room that did not have the desired sleeping combination I had requested. Upon getting into the room. The internet wifi did not work, and the TV did not work.

D	David Wilson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been charged 200 for 8 towels that the Manager says were impossible to clean. I think she is just trying to get back the discount I was given on the room. Just be careful of hidden charges if you are foolish enough to stay here. I will see tomorrow when I check out if I get the towels that I have now paid for. And I am sure that I will be able to get them snowy white by using oxy-clean, which she has likely never heard of, eh. Follow up: I was not given the towels or even offered any sort of explanation. Since I was not paying directly for the room and I was more than happy to be leaving, I decided to not pursue the matter. I will, of course, never stay in another Canalta Hotel. Or eat at an A&W owned by that management group. Buyer beware!

The hotel had no power and staff had to manually do everything. They were calm and collected. Help each guest as they could and pushed through in a very unexpected rush of people. I will recommend this hotel and the staff very highly as we really experienced great customer care and service.
