Just bought gas... but by using the Canadian Tire gas Mastercard, we saved 10 cents a litre! Gas is still way, way too expensive, but saving the 10 cents/litre every time we fill up eases at least some of the pain! We don't use any other credit cards!

I’d like to say I’ve been to this Canadian Tire store twice now – first time and last time! But, it appears I’ll have to go yet again. We just moved into a new house and needed things for gardening, etc so got stones and two bags of soil from outside and then went inside and bought a pot and tomato plants as well as a couple of packs of lighters and a spray bottle, which is the bone of contention. Pot, plants and soil were all left in the buggy because of size and/or weight. The cashier at #1 assisted with helping me lift the bags to find the UPC codes. The lighters and spray bottle were put in a bag and I wheeled the cart outside, completely forgetting about the bagged items until I got home and realized I didn’t have them. Total spent was about $80+ with $15. worth of items left behind. An hour or so later, I drove back to the store, bill in hand, and went to the Service Desk and explained the situation. The cashier was called over and did not remember a spray bottle, (though it clattered to the floor at one point), so the area was searched. A manager was called and I was told they would have to ‘check the cameras’ to check for the items - say, what? Although it was my fault for forgetting the items, I have never had cameras check for a purchase I’ve made when the odd situation has happened in the past. I was told that after they check the cameras they will call me to let me know. The only time I’ve had cameras searching for me was when I had a winning ticket to cash at the OLG – a much more pleasant experience! The attitude added insult to injury, which is the first time ever in a store since moving to Simcoe. The profit margin can’t be that high on these items to warrant the time of a cashier, a manager and whoever checks the cameras, as well as someone to call me and then hopefully hand the items back on my third trip – at today’s gas prices. There are a number of places to shop in Simcoe for the merchandise carried by CT and if not, there’s always on-line.

Would have received a better rating but I stood in front of the counter for 10 mins while the parts/service people pretended I was invisible. A simple "I am busy for a moment but I will be right with you" would have gone a long way. Makes me wonder about their commitment to customer service or if you are just another number. Will try again another time and see if it is the same.

Just love the inhouse specials...clean store .. Helpful and kind staff ... Just outside of the front door is a hardworking man ..cooking up a storm..hotdogs or sausage ?....delicious

Love my Canadian Tire! They're always kind and very knowledgeable. I make it a point to buy things here whenever possible:) my local shop! They always have items in stock and if they don't, they will look it up for you and help you out. Love their customer service!

Went in a little while ago and saw someone talking to another person about how the staff don't care about COVID-19 Protection Measures, and how one guy wore his mask wrong. I came here to write a review and saw that some guy was complaining about it took a extra few minutes to return a item. Just wanted to say to him/her, Your the reason people hate people. Great Store Awesome Staff Quality Products
