S	Sean Peacock on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I received an unsolicited call from someone claiming to represent this organization (I've never donated before, and the phone is an unlisted mobile number). They were clearly reading from a script as their response to my questions indicated that they didn't listen to a single word I said. The only goal of the call seem to get me to say "Yes" to a vague question about whether they could count on my support that was repeated aggressively several times. The phone call seemed very much in line with reported phone scams where callers allegedly try to get you say the word Yes and try to charge you for some weird premium charge to your phone bill. I contacted their office to see if the phone number that called belonged to them. They have not bothered to respond which leads me to believe that it probably was them after all. If so, then it was right up there with the worst marketing calls I've ever received.

The woman on the other end was trying to solicit a donation from me, and when I told her I didn't have time to take the call, she abruptly said she would call back later, and promptly hung up on me before I could reply. The people making these calls are asking for money from the public on your behalf, but lack common courtesy, and are disrespectful to the very people they expect assistance from. I don't have a problem donating to charity, but why would I donate to an organization that has already shown me they have no issue with disrespecting me unless I give them what they want. I just blocked the number, and I assume a lot of other people will be pushed to do the same.

Any responses to my questions indicated that they didn't listen to anything I said. The only goal of the call, which seemed to me, was to get me to donate some sort of monetary value to donate to their charity and get me to say "Yes" to a question about whether they could count on my support. I have a business and we do donate to charities throughout the year. I explained to them that I would have to talk to the accountant to see what we could free up that could be achievable. They kept brushing it off and was getting aggressive because I wasn't giving them an answer right then and there. This has been one of the worst marketing calls I've ever received. If they had listened, I would have been more receptive to giving them a donation. Unfortunately, because of their tactics, I'm just not interested in talking with them at all now.
