About Canadian Energy Centre
The Canadian Energy Centre’s mandate is to promote Canada as the supplier of choice for the world’s growing demand for responsibly produced energy. It is an independent provincial corporation that is primarily supported by the Government of Alberta’s industry-funded Technology, Innovation and Emissions Reduction (TIER) fund.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The continued release of GhGs into the atmosphere (which can largely be attributed to industry) is fueling the climate crisis and thus the destruction of people's lives and the planet. Given the CEC's support of industry, they are morally responsible for perpetuating this destruction. This summer, we experienced what a 1 ⁰C warmer world, relative to pre-industrial temperatures, is like. It was horrible. I struggled to breath through the thickness of the smoke. Years like this one will become the norm due to entities like the CEC impeding meaningful action on climate change. Of course, we can still avoid the worst impacts of climate change, but perhaps only in a world in which the CEC ceases to exist.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The UCP is using millions of Albertan's dollars to rage "War" on any group that stands up or cares about the Environment that we draw Energy from. They have spent millions every year - Environment Minister Nixon is one of three directors for this group - yes it's true - to investigate environment groups of wrong doings. Three years later - no luck. Millions spent on the Allen Inquiry. Albertan's hard earned tax dollars gone! Hmm wonder what the directors get paid?
