★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called the VA number to get help with filling out pensions forms, I was directed to the local VA office. Where I was turned away because it wasn't a medical pension. A whole lot of not my department, not my problem going on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have a benefit called the Critical Injury Benefit that's meant for when a member has had a severe injury. In the description it says its for "immediate" relief.
They told me the wait time for a decision is 76 weeks for a Critical Injury Benefit decision. I'm wondering if there's been some kind of translation issue with the word "immediate".
