★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Utterly unprofessional. Had to call a month after submission to track down my wife's case and they grilled for a bunch of information that had already been submitted. Furthermore, they requested personal submission of information from health professionals that already had releases signed, something literally every health professional (midwife, nurse, doctor) commented on as being unprofessional and irregular.
Will not return phone calls or emails. I am baffled they stay afloat as an insurance provider.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience dealing with GWL couldn't possibly be worse. They provide and overturn and fail to return messages and emails. Their turnaround on insurance payment is abysmal. If you have a choice I strongly advise turning elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has been the worst experience of my life, having to deal with GWL! Claims denied, then over turned, then denied and overturned and still no help with my actual injury. This has caused me great emotional, financial, physical pain and suffering. They do not return phone calls or emails and you're left feeling unsupported.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the worst group benefits company I've ever delt with. Long delays, no response for weeks, it takes months for my claims to go through. Please provide better customer service, and allow online claims submission.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have to call and call and call and they say we are busy to process the claims. I have several claims for my family that are not paid - they are waist of time- Yes worst insurance company- You can complain in Canada Website (Compliance) regarding the quality of their job

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Never in my life have I dealt with a worse insurance company. I've had many insurance companies and are SO easy to deal with. Never had issues with claims. With CL I've already have maybe about 5 issues with payment where I have to call in and get answers which takes HOURS. DO NOT USE CANADA LIFE IF YOU ARE A COMPANY. USE SUN LIFE OR BLUE CROSS. They have denied me of medication I've been on 3 years which costs thousands of dollars. Basically I either leave my company or pay out of pocket to live. If you are considering CL then you are doing your employees a disservice
