I am very dissapointed with the Canada Flior Depot. I ordered 1100 sqft of Rustic Oak which are on sale. When the material arrived and the installer tried to install we saw most of the woods are 1 feet to 1 and half feet length. Hardly any wood over 2 feet. Also there is no warranty on the box. It looks like they dumped to me most of the bad wood to me. I talked to the store after that I got reply that this is rustic oak and they come in small size. I have no choice but install them. I cannot return them because i have to pay lots of money to return them. I will appreciate advise what should i do now. Thanks

We purchased the rustic unfinished colonial 5” maple. We where expecting there would be a lot of knots and worm holes and variations in colour. We understand what rustic is, and that’s what we were looking for. Unfortunately, a large percentage of what we ordered ended up being the same quality as fire wood. Some boards were breaking from handling by hand, and many boards had clear holes measuring anywhere from toonie size round to a hockey puck. How those pieces were deemed useable, is truly beyond me. Also, countless boards had either no tongue, no groove, or both. Those boards were completely unlayable. We purchased over 1000 sq.ft. to do 850 sq. ft. of floor. With all the bad wood we could only do 600 sq. ft. of floor and ultimately had to chose different flooring entirely, in the last two bedrooms. $500.00 for shipping (our address is over an hour east of Toronto but paid the GTA price) seemed excessive but their delivery was courteous and prompt. What we did lay looks amazing and we just hope it will last.

I bought engineered hardwood flooring called ‘ Scholar ’ Six of the seven photos showed it as ash grey, one photo of it was dark slate grey with black stripes The flooring I received was 95% dark slate grey with black stripes, but aside from that it was smooth, not crooked boards and fitted together easily without problems with the tongue & groove design. I had intended to put in a floating floor but I had to change to a glue down flooring because the colour was so dark & made my house so gloomy that the entire floor had to be refinished as soon as it was laid The entire floor was sanded revealing a reddish & blond wood flooring with knotholes and cracks in nearly half of the boards filled in with dark grey wood filler The grade 3 ‘cottage grade, maple looked terrible Rustic is ok but this was suitable only for a barn As an artist I painted all the knots & cracks away between the 3rd & 4th polyurethane coat applied by the very capable flooring experts from Ottawa Timber. They refinished the floor to look like a beautiful high grade blond maple flooring In the end the flooring is perfect but not after about double the cost & a huge amount of work by me & by Ottawa Timber

Wrong tax amount charged to our invoice and we are waiting for a refund for 3 months now. They know we are located in Ontario and knew we are shipping to Ontario, but they charged the local Quebec tax. Total screw up on their end and they are trying to put the blame on us for arranging our own shipping. They are hard to deal with when you need something corrected. Also, their rustic maple unfinished is literally scrap material that has been cut into flooring. Mostly tiny splintery pieces around 8” in length. It’s very cheap, but the images they use to sell the material is far from the truth. Advice: Ask for candid images when buying.

After a lot of search for walnut floors, I have Canada Floors Depot. The staff were very responsive and courteous. They had a great selection and have given me very valuable advice. They have shipped the flooring in a timely manner and at a great price!! Looking forward to another purchase this summer.

Love my new floors! My questions were answered quickly and when I asked for photos they sent them. The product I purchased was a great price but I got what I paid for. The planks were mostly 8-10 inches. In the end the floor looks great and is what I’d expect for the cost. Delivery was perfect. I’d definitely buy from Canada Floors Depot again.
