About Camp Wolf Willow

When we fell in love with this land, it felt like a shame to keep it all to ourselves.  Perched on the terraced hills above the mighty South Saskatchewan River, bordered by a stream-carved coulee, rolling native prairie and wooded valley, it was the perfect site to truly enjoy the outdoors.   Of course, being next to a winery that was crafting wines from its own organically grown fruit sure didn't hurt either.

So we thought why not open a place where those who love to immerse themselves in nature's serene beauty could come and stay.

So here we are!

We've opened Saskatchewan's newest campground, with fully furnished glamping sites for those who like their creature comforts and large tenting sites for those who like good old fashioned classic camping.

We acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional territories of the Niitsitpiis-stahkoii, (Blackfoot), Metis, Nehiyaw-Askiy, (Plains Cree) and Oceti Sakowin, (Sioux) peoples. This incites and compels us to treat this land with dignity and reverence. We feel enormous gratitude for the opportunity, (during the very brief moment in time that this land is in our care), to tend to these grounds by nurturing the native plant, animal and bird species and defend those that are vulnerable.

Less than an hour drive from Saskatoon, this spot is gorgeous! The Glamping sites fill up quickly, plan ahead, but the regular sites are equally lovely, sensitively arranged to combine privacy with spectacular views of the river. The composting toilets are a bit "worky", so if that's not your jam, a short hike up to the winery brings you to city style flush potties, hot and cold running water , hot showers... About the winery; their cherry wine is outstanding, full flavoured, delicious and dry. My son had a cherry wine float... Dang.....that could make for some day drinking in the summer.... They offer their wines, flights of their wines and delightful wine cocktails For beer, they offer the Churchill Craft beers from Saskatoon We ordered the " special"- a BBQ chicken pizza, a thin crust style. I have never had a better chicken pizza a*n*y*w*h*e*r*e or ever. Delicious, with lots of flavour going on. Very substantial for a thin crust style. Wendy running the kitchen knows what she is doing. Highly recommend this place, we will be back.

If you're looking to escape the city with a great view and privacy, this is the place! The beach was great, the scenery was beautiful and a very relaxing weekend! Loved that you check in by texting (unsure if this is all the time or because of COVID19) but it made it feel like such an easy going atmosphere. 10/10 would come back here again!

The views are brilliant and there is tiered pricing, whether you want to bring your own tent, rent a tent, tipi or larger lodge for a big group. The only thing, was the food. The winery is lovely and they make tasty sweet wines... But the appies to go with the wine are well described... But the cheese platter was literally Ritz crackers and 3 types of block cheddar. White, marbled and orange.

We camped in the Nuthatch campsite and it was quiet and private, which is what we were looking for. The restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to the wines. The previous tenant of our site had used the fire bucket for garbage and because of the wind, there was litter all over the site. There was also a big pile of dog poo. With a four hour window between check-out and check-in, I would have thought the sites were inspected. That brings me to the dogs. There are two BIG dogs, yes they are friendly, but they leave big messes on the trails and campsites.

Amazing stay at this campground. What a beautiful place for a getaway! The sandy beach was the perfect way to spend a hot, sunny afternoon. The winery's offerings were delicious and the views just can't be beat. We can't wait to come back!

We used our own tent and had a quiet secluded spot overlooking the South Saskatchewan River. At night we could hear a creek close by. There were teepee's to get for accommodation, plus an old Bolo. Very clean washrooms and toilets. Onsight is a Winery and restaurant, also serving craft beers, with panoramic views.Close to Outlook if you need supplies. Will certainly return.

We arrived at Camp Wolf Willow July 21, 2021 for a few days with our family before our daughter's outdoor wedding on the 24th at the campground. We noted very accommodating owners, helpful staff, tidy grounds, clean washrooms and showers. It was very quiet, private campsites and the river was a great place to cool off for all ages.

It’s a very nice camp ground. The views are gorgeous. The bathrooms are clean and close by but our site didn’t have a trail that led to the bathrooms so we had to go over to our neighbours campsite to cross every time. And the camp sites are clean as well as secluded(ish) however, it’s not a place I would come to for a relaxing camping experience. There’s a 10pm-8am quiet time but nobody really enforces it. Our neighbors were quite loud till 2am and I know this because I couldn’t sleep until they passed out around then. Perfect if you want to come here with a big group and have a party I guess but if you want to have a nice, quiet weekend with your significant other don’t bother.
