About Camp Chestermere

Camp Chestermere is a year round ministry that runs summer camps, winter camps, events, group bookings and conferences. At Camp Chestermere, we present the love of Jesus Christ to youth and communities by Building Relationships, Creating Experiences and Developing People. Located just outside Calgary in Chestermere, Alberta, the camp has been a vital part of the community for over 80 years, providing a venue for recreational, spiritual and social interaction for all ages.

M	Melissa Morrow on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In February 2020, my husband and I got married at Camp Chestermere. Leading up to this event there was much planning and correspondence with the camp. The camp was fantastic in giving information, answering questions, and even letting us do a bit of a mock set-up. They were gracious to answer many questions while we planned, and they completely went above and beyond for our event. The food was incredible and exceeded our expectations. They even catered amazingly to many special diets. They were hospitable, helpful, and flexible. The venue was affordable, beautiful, and clean. We would highly recommend Camp Chestermere for any event.
M	Mark Coates on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter spent a week here for a summer camp. She loved all the water activities they did and even preffers this camp to some others she's been to. The leaders are mostly teens but they are all friendly and match match energy of the kids. We are probably sending my daughter again next year. One minor issues held me back from a 5 star review which is one of the kids in my daughter's room was sick, removed from camp and the camp staff did not inform us. With Covid coming to a close I get that people don't want to start a panic unnecessarily but push information to parents and let them make their own call about whether or not to take the risk. I felt cut out of the decision making process for my own child which felt frustrating when I found out about it upon picking her up.

I need a receipt and not sure how to get a response from the camp. Hopefully this will help when I have a response I will change my experience rating. Fun camp for kids for sure but work on your customer care please.

F	Fluffy puppy Fostering on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When i arrived at the cabins, it was very clean and modern. And everyone there was nice and fun to hang out with. The councilers i had were UV and Muddy, they made my week there AMAZING! My favourite part about Camp Chestermere was the activities that they had. (e.g. Power tubing, wall climbing, Kayaking etc.) And the campfires were very fun to watch. One thing i should mention is how delicious the food was, and most of the time there were seconds if you were still hungry. But if i had to complain about something it would be how they would always run out of my favourite foods. But everything else was fantastic and I was even sad when the week was over and i had to leave.

The food was very good, but the meals for the next day I wouldn't say are my favourite. They were either tasteless or they give your barely anything. But the camp counsellors made up for it. My favourite ones are Boom, UV, and Flo. ;) We had a day full of fun activities and no ones is forced to do anything which I love. Although I did had to go home early do to some family issues other than the food I would rate it a 4/5 stars. Tell UV I said hi!
M	Marilyn Feeg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Food Staff did an Excellent job of preparing a Large, very nice Buffet, of Veggie Trays, Fruit Trays, Cookies, Punch, etc, for a Large Funeral ! The Handicapped Toilet was Not working.

I really enjoyed it here, I went with my class, for a field trip, I did archery and the people were very nice, and we went canoeing, and a really funny thing was one of my classmates fell off their canoe, but the life haired helped home get out, also the water isn’t that deep, so it’s really safe, I also did a water fight, and it was amazing!!!! I highly recommend this place as a really good camp to go with your class! That why I’m giving it 5 stars!!! GO CAMP CHESTMERE!
