Since 2005, the Calgary Wheelchair Curling Association has grown to be one of the largest wheelchair curling leagues in Canada with over 30 members.
Wheelchair curling is becoming one of the fastest growing wheelchair sports worldwide due to its appeal to a variety of people with disabilities. People who use mobility devices are able to play wheelchair curling. And many wheelchair curlers play in regular able-bodied leagues and games with their friends and families.
